Gilpin Hotel & Lake House

Nothing is too much for the staff at the Gilpin. Room was first class. The omelette my partner had was the best she'd ever had, apparently. Couldn't fault the stay!

Second time we have stayed at Gilpin. It did not disappoint, the staff are super friendly , efficient and very welcoming. Beautiful boutique feel to the hotel .

The rom was perfect and the breakfast had plenty of choice to very good standard The tasting menu on Valentine’s Day was served and explained excellent and tasted perfect

Only fault was wish could had a window to open for some air at night there was some French doors but it was to cold to leave them open but it wasn’t a deal breaker and will be back again

The room was very comfortable and the hot tub outside was in a discrete area. The grounds were very nice at the hotel and the staff all very friendly.

I feel for the price, the facilities could have been better in the room. We booked a room with a hot tub so did use it most of the day through to the night however would have appreciated a more ‘modern’ facility room. I also did not like that there was an additional charge to pay at the end for service which was separate to the staff service within the restaurant/bar that we had paid.
