Hotel Restaurant Walliser Sonne

WiFi service was not working well at this location when I visited.

The owners are very nice. It is much better than what I have expected. The room was with nice nature view. Clean, comfortable and cozy. My son really like the dog there. The dog is very mellow. whenever he saw you, he gave a silence look to his owner who would know immediately that someone was looking for him/her. Very nice experience and a sweet memory.

NO BED SHEET. Just a mattress cover and a comforter.  Which means you are sleeping in direct contact with the comforter on you. This means there is no sanitary protection between you and who knows how many sweaty, naked and otherwise which have come in contact with it.  I tried to explain this to the owner but she insisted that that's the way it is in hotels.  I said to her NO THAT'S NOT THE WAY IT IS IN HOTELS. I've travelled all around the world for the last 40 years and this is the FIRST TIME EVER that I've slept in a Hotel with no bed sheet. No internet in room. Had to sit in front of lobby desk even though it's only a 4 floor hotel. Owners dog roaming the ground floor and growls at you whenever you come and go. No internet in room. Once you leave in the morning you are not allowed back in until after 3:00 pm. At best this place is a notch above a hostel and shouldn't be classified as a Hotel. Very unprofessional conduct.

Great location, nice and quiet and stunning views.

It's a bit out of the way up a windy lane and to be honest the room had a slightly musty smell. Dinner is available (good because your in the middle of no where) but it's fairly basic home cooked food. Overall the hotel was nice but I feel it was very expensive compared to what you get. Nothing wrong with it just basic for the price.

Can't recommend this hotel enough. Reception was friendly and helpful. The service was accommodating. The food was excellent. Full marks. Spoken English was very good.

This is a charming hotel to stay in. We were in a really nice room that overlooks the mountain. The hotel also has their own restaurant which is convenient. Good food and great service. Peter, the owner was really kind and helpful during our stay. I also had an issue with the bill afterwards and he was helpful in getting it all clarified and adjusted accordingly. Great place to stay. Will recommend this hotel to friends!

Exceptionally friendly staff who provided a great service. The surrounding area is exceptionally beautiful and without doubt this was the best Hotel experience we have ever had.

No problems in a fantastically located comfy hotel run by a happy family group. Nothing too pretentious.

Wonderful hotel! A little quirky in a nice sort of way. Quiet comfortable rooms with new bathrooms. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money in expensive Switzerland.
