"Nice quiet hotel close to everything"

10.0

Quiet oasis in green jungle, across the road from nice beach, restaurants and stores. This part of Koh Samui is more on quiet side, not like east side of the island, but exactly what we were looking for. We rented a moped for 2 nights and went to see the falls and night market at Nathon pier and Fisherman's village - a must see! My husband bought a boat tour to Marine Park with kayaking and snorkeling - beautiful caves, white sand and magnificent views of all area. I just broke my foot, so I went for minivan tour around the island which stopped at all major attractions and included elephant trekking, fish spa and elephant and monkey show. Many people already commented on it and I just echo their sentiment when I say - don't go for this. The animals looked tired and overworked and when I talked to one of the tour guides he confirmed it. He said if tourists wouldn't ask for it, they would not train and hurt the elephants....

"Better pool than beach"

8.0

Positive: Two pools. Outlet on both sides of the bed. 7/11 a few hundred metres away. Beach just across the road (not that great but nicer if you walk a bit to the right). Pretty cheap minibar (small beer 50 baht, soft drinks 30 baht). Comfy beds. Negative: The tile in the pool had pretty sharp edges. Description said bathtub but we didn't have one. Ants in one of the beds (they fixed it though!). Something was running around and being noisy on the roof/in the ceiling. Toilet never filled up so couldn't flush properly. Pipes made screeching noises when running water. Windows in bathroom didn't close. Would stay again.

"Wonderful hotel across the street from a beach"

10.0

Pictures on the web doesn't do justice at al. Hotel is wonderful. Great looking, clean. We had v view of the pool, sea and the hills, covered with palm trees. only thing that is missing is a radio in the room and a breakfast is every day the same. Eggs, bacon, ham, toast with jam and butter, fruit, coffe and tea. I wish there were more options than just eggs. It's still cheap, so well worth taking it. For dinner and lunch you have restaurants across the street, also cheap and delicious food. Location is out of the main turistic part of the island, so it's quiet and calm. Just rent a scooter for 5€ a day and everything is reachable with it. Loved every bit of this hotel, so definitelly recomment it.

"Much better than expected !"

10.0

We read a few previous reviews and were slightly apprehensive of booking Panalee , however , we needn't have worried ! Had a really warm welcome with a cold orange drink . Our room was big and clean and spacious , overlooking the lap pool . The balcony was also a decent size . As well as the lap pool , there is also a small plunge pool close by .There are plenty of sunloungers to go around . Beach Towels are provided at Reception. Breakfast is good ,omelette or fried egg with bacon rasher, toast, jam,hot dog and small fruit selection. Repetitive but good value if you get a good booking deal - which we did . stayed here 5 nights and wished we had booked longer . The beach is across a fairly busy road but no problem to navigate . The bay has shallow water , not good for swimming but great for cooling off . Lovely at night time at the beach restaurants watching the local fishermen go out . Our fav bar/ restaurant was called tropical footprints - turn left out of Panalee about 200 meters across the road .Cheap beer , good food and a pool table and free sunbeds during the day if you eat/ drink there - it is really chilled out ! Only negatives about Panalee was the chairs on the balcony were very uncomfortable , they need better TV channels and the pool step ladder at the lap pool was a danger hazard as it is coming away from the supports. Wifi was just ok . I personally would not go for the ground floor pool access rooms , even though they are more expensive , you have no privacy and no balcony - just sun loungers facing other sun loungers . Anyone swimming in the lap pool or sunbathing around it can see directly into your room . Overall , exellent value for what we paid , the Staff were lovely and I wished I was still there when I reached my next destination and paid just 200 baht less per night for far less quality !!

"Lovely place!!!"

10.0

Me and my girlfriend spent here 5 nights and loved that place! Two pools, new and comfortable rooms, quiet beach with white sand. In fact it is outside the main touristic places (chaweng or lamei beach) but if to get there you just need to rent a scooter for 200baht/day and within 20 minutes you're there:-) great place!!!

"Average"

6.0

I paid a lot of money for the new year to stay there and it had a good location next to some good beach front restaurants/ 7/11. I thought the room would be more swanky...it was nice but there was a hole and crack in one of the windows, no bins in the room & the paint was pealing off the walls. It had a big bed and tv but i just thought it would have been more! Wouldn't really bother going to stay there again.

"à rénover, service minimum, calme, piscine sympa"

6.0
