Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior

This hotel was clean and beautiful. My son said it felt like we were at home. The bathroom was one of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. I enjoyed every moment of this. I would definitely go again.

We have been to Blue Fin many times and are never disappointed

Two night minimum is frustrating when you’re paying $500 a night. I think this place is way too expensive for what you actually get. We were in a 2 bedroom suite. Had to take two flights of stairs to get to the unit, then once inside the unit, there is an immediate large flight of stairs again. When we go to the top floor, the place is very small and broken up. One bedroom had a coffee pot and fridge, the other bedroom had a TV. Both bedroom should have a TV. Bathroom was very small, but tub was VERY large. Toilet was so close to the door! Tub took up way too much room. I think for the cost of these units, they should be set up better or lower the price! I’ve stayed in many, many condos/all inclusive resorts and paid less than what it cost to stay here. Won’t be staying here again.

We really loved the live music in the restaraunt and around the campfire. Nice touches.

We booked a room (41B) on the third floor, up 32 steps from the parking lot. The price was right, and the view of the lake was fabulous. The last flight of stairs -- inside the building -- was very narrow, and the entryway needed a good sweeping. The room itself was clean.

Great property great location

We had a wonderful stay at Bluefin. The staff was fabulous and location perfect. However, when we approached our condo we noticed that the trim on the buildings and railing needed painting. Not a favorable first impression on a 5 star resort.

Love the amenities and the room conditions. Staff is amazing as well.

We were staying for my nieces wedding. I had requested an early check-in earlier in the week to allow my son, whom has special needs and myself to change our clothes and get ready for the wedding. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the bluefin grill. Great food and service. We then went to guest services to check on our room The gentleman said he would check on it and call me when it was ready. We waited in our vehicle for about an hour. We then went back inside guest services to wait. We observed others being checked in early. The gentleman that I'd spoken with before said nothing to us. As the wedding time aproached. I went to a different person and my room was ready. I was very upset by this time. How long had our room been available with no one alerting us? We were extremely rushed to get ready for the wedding by this time. Later that night, we discovered that most tv channels did not work and some quit working while watching. We were also disappointed that the sauna was broken in the pool house. It was a very disjointed stay. We would look elsewhere in the area next visit up. A special mention though for a gentleman whom teaches kayaking there. I believe his name was Sean super nice and made my son happy and welcome.
