Met two friends and their dog who were from Georgia. It was so comfy and cozy. Our room was spacious enough for all of us; we never felt cramped. The living room area (of which there are two) was an incredibly comfortable area for us to hang out and visit. Great location, its an easy walk to the downtown with a bridge over the highway.

Very quiet and close to old town Placerville. The owner’s were very nice and accommodating. The house’s mystic were enhanced by the cute decorating for Halloween. The breakfast was very good and a great presentation!

Our room was top to bottom books! So fun exploring the collection. Breakfast exceeded expectations. The very friendly dog and cat were always around to brighten our day. In general lots of character. Can’t wait to return!

I LOVED the historical and weathered inn and grounds of the1859 inn. Sitting on the lit porch last night was magical. My imagination brought me back to our California Gold rush. Kim welcomed us and gave us some interesting inn and grounds tidbits. Our morning breakfast this morning was wonderful, too. Pinkies Out Ladies! Lucas, the dog, Marmalade, the cat and and 2 other property cats keep the grounds in check. Kendra, Jamestown, CA

It was a convenient walk to Main Street dining, and a 15 minute drive to James Marshall Gold Discovery State Park. Pretty property grounds and a step back in time. Friendly owners!

My kids were in love with the dog Lucas and a few cats. We loved sitting on the patio and walking in the trees. It was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and we loved it. Tom brought amazing breakfast to our room each morning. I would come back in a heartbeat.
