Place was great, very friendly people in the whole town. I would recommend to anyone who would like to stay.

Loved historical aspect of it and decoration. Host made great breakfasts for us. Room was a bit dark for reading. Would definitely stay there again.

I liked how it was tucked away and gave a great view of the town. Walking into town for dinner was an option we chose. For breakfast Tom made us a delicious spinach cheese quiche. Nice touch!

Beautiful place. Very welcoming and great with the dogs. Amazing breakfast in the morning. Very easy spot to find and easy access to town . Definitely will be back if that way again

Great place. Neat historic building in placerville. Great staff. Very accommodating.

Staying in an old historic home with all of the modern convinces was great. The home has the best of both worlds. Tom was a great host, and great cook for breakfast! He gave us a tour of the home including it’s history. There is even a sitting room with lots books to chose. He gave us tips on where to shop and eat in Placerville (aka Hangtown). I recommend Heyday Cafe or Sweetie Pies for lunch. The walk to downtown is an easy 5 minutes. Before we left, we checked out the other bedrooms (they are all unique) to decide on which one we want to book for our next stay.

The ominous was outstanding as was the service and the food. We loved the cat too! 😘

Tom, our host, was very welcoming, personable, and very informative, He recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. The Scottish motif throughout the house was fantastic. Had toys for kids. Excellent breakfast. Only a short walk to the downtown. What else can you ask for?
