"A conveniently located hotel with large rooms"

I would describe the Wyndham Grand Plaza as a four star hotel and not and 4.5 star. It is rather worn out and tired with a drinks lounge that offered little entertainment value and only a few armchairs in the lobby. The marble flooring is old and worn and the bath room fittings the same. The plus points are that it's well located, near the West lake and the room is very spacious. Breakfast is also quite adequate. Hangzhou, on the other hand, is a wonderful destination, green, low density (compared to other Chinese cities) with great food and nice people!

"They need to upgrade the facilities"

The location is great! The room cleaning lady is nice.

There is no air-conditioning in the room. The outside temperature was about 28-29 C since we get there then hit 33 C on Mar 26. The room is facing south and was so hot that we can’t sleep over the whole stay. They only bring us a fan and no sorry or any other remedy.
