Waterfront Inn - Mackinaw City

Badddd experience

Bed was comfy and clean. Room had five lamps and lighting only one worked. One light the cord was taped together with electrical tape. No coffee, no microwave. Pool smelled or chlorine however it was still a light shade of green. Nice girl at check-in did upgrade us from court yard room to beach view. Was very nice of her I hate to see what the court yard room would have looked like. Stay was nice except one night of partying up above us and outside by our balcony. Marijuana smell coming through out air conditioner.i don't know if I would stay there again. I just want to let the staff know that you were nice and friendly. Even let us use microwave in the office. Biggest thing is I like my coffee in the morning and didn't like having to go out somewhere to get it. Thank you so much for the upgrade for our 52 anniversary and my wife's 70 th birthday. Thank you.

My van had a great view of Lake Huron, The Bridge, and Mackinaw Island...so did we.

This place is a scam and should not be listed on this website. - I booked while out on the road, relying on the photos (not where you will be staying!). When I read the reviews (dirty, mouldy, noisy, in disrepair etc), I realised I could not take my children there. I contacted Expedia who contacted the Hotel and the hotel refused to refund as its 'their rules'. I wonder why. They are literally thieving money off people.

This place is very out dated there was mold on the ceiling In the bathroom the lights didn't work it was honestly gross

Extremely dirty room. The mildew smell was awful. U could see ceiling had a leak. Even had painters tape still up.

If i could give this place a 0 star i would first of all i showed up at 5am no staff at all all doors locked no number to call other than them leaving another hotels number to handle their hotel. i was told by the other hotel that waterfront would open at 7 so i stayed in the parking lot no one ever showed up i went back then was told wait till 8 i waited no one showed up again i contacted expedia and they said hey got a hold of someone’s number saying they were on their way when finally after 3 hours someone showed up the worker was extremely rude told me i can’t get a room despite waiting so long then i asked okay can i get a refund to stay somewhere else because i have one day up north she proceeds to say no come back at 4 if u want a room even tho every single room was open the pictures they post are not the rooms you’re going to get they post their best room for all rooms the view is the parking lot it’s a hell hole and they’re scamming u of ur money don’t come here pick any other inn nearby this place is not a safe or truthful hotel the service was the worst service i’ve ever experienced in any industry

Area was good. Bathrooms were rusty, there was a spider under the sink, toilets weren't sufficiently cleaned, one of the rooms had no trash cans in it. I asked for a partial credit both from the inn itself and from expedia and was denied. They only offered a credit in one key cash to use towards another hotel booking. We hardly ever stay in hotels so that wasn't a satisfactory resolution.

It was a clean room, but there was no microwave or coffee maker in the room.

Short staffed possibly but the rooms weren't getting cleaned before people checked in. Black mold in the shower and the toiletries we were given were all wet. Room smelled dirty and moldy. Only good thing was we were on the beach
