Cumberland Hotel

En recepción nos atendieron genial, siempre son muy agradables y pudimos dejar el equipaje en el hotel antes de hacer el check in. Hay una parada de autobús justo en la puerta del hotel y tanto el autobús del aeropuerto (línea 100) como el que te lleva al centro de la ciudad (línea 26) pasan regularmente. Todo es muy limpio y es un barrio muy tranquilo.

Por la mañana esta la puerta de la entrada a recepción cerrada y para entrar se debe tocar al timbre, como ya hay movimiento temprano nos despertó cada mañana el ruido de ese timbre porque las habitaciones son en la primera planta. El el alojamiento está a 30 minutos caminando del centro de la ciudad.

It was a fantastic locale, right around the corner from Haymarket train station. The staff were extremely helpful and answered all our questions. Very clean room. Lovely place.

Booking and Cumberland need to update in their descriptions of the rooms provided. Our room reserved was technically the Attic. There are NO elevators in this facility. The "hobbit" staircase that goes almost vertical does not provide adequate room for people nor luggage to go up this steep incline with shortened steps. The staff was very helpful in offering to bring the luggage up. I felt sorry for the poor man. The mattresses were lumpy, hard, worn to one side or the other so you rolled that direction always and all the frames sqeaked loudly whenever any one moved and with the poor mattresses, this was often. So please advise future patrons of this.

The hotel was quiet,comfy and the ideal location for travelling into Haymarket by train.It was also a great location for the sporting event I attended at Tynecastle Park.I have stayed in a few hotels in close proximity over the years and would stay at the Cumberland again.

La posizione è perfetta, in 10 minuti si arriva all'aeroporto e anche al centro di Edimburgo. La struttura è ospitale e ben curata; inoltre lo staff è stato molto disponibile.

The location is superb very easy to town n airport. Love the comfortable room n bathroom. Can keep our luggage b4 n after check in, we really appreciate that. Perfect for us with a lot of luggage.
