"Didn’t stay "

2.0

We spent less than 15 minutes in the room. The slider door did not lock, there was a bag of rotting lettuce on the private deck and the toilet had been used recently. This was after we were moved to a sister property because the first property was filled with construction workers and looked like it was a non functional motel. The note on the office door told us to go down the street to register. Mia at the desk was very pleasant and changed us to the new site. That is where we found a room that we were not comfortable staying in because you could not lock the slider door or screen. We left the motel and ended our vacation a day early and drove several hours to our home. I would not ever recommend this motel to anyone.

Beds were horrible looked abandoned not what you would expect in Mackinaw City. Front desk very friendly. Bugs all over in room (may flies) no breakfast no telephones. Just not clean. Drove motorcycle had to park in a lot of gravel with piles of dirt. Property in disarray. Pay the extra for downtown.

I liked the view of the bridge. I didn't like the bathroom it looked like the toilet was going to fall through the floor. Half the light fixtures didn't work or didn;t have bulbs. The tv didn't work. When I went out to take a look at the beach there was dog doo every where.

Location is good. Did not appreciate not being able to check in at the motel. Had to go down the road to a different motel to get the key. A/C unit was terrible. Extremely loud and it vibrated half the room. Window shade would not conceal the inside of the room.

This place to not what it looks like on your hotels .com appt .. the place was way out dated for sure . The shower look like a scary place to shower and there was a spider in the bathtub . And could not use the bathtub at all . The only good thing about the place was the outside porch .. will not go back ..

When we arrived there flies in our room. There was no coffee for the coffee maker. The room seemed dirty. I wasn’t worth any $122.00

"Value within City Limits"

10.0

It's a dated motel that last saw an update in the late 80's, maybe early 90's. There is no "office" on site, you will need to go down to a different motel for check in/out. With that said, you can use other hotels facilities. The room provided a clean bed. The place is a value priced stay within the city limits. There is a fire pit onsite right by the water. You have to bring your own wood. Management was very accommodating. By that I mean I asked for another pillow and the manager brought one over for the next night. I also asked her the 411 about where to eat and she was spot on.

There was no office, the "lobby" was empty except for some junk, the awning was torn, and the office looked abandoned. There were huge piles of gravel in the parking lot. A faded sign instructed to check in at another hotel, but that location was unclear. I had to ask another guest where to go. There was a sign indicating the WiFi passwords for each hotel, but the password did not work, so no internet. The room was barely acceptable, it was as clean as such an old and run-down room could be, but there was chipped paint, cracked tiles, and mold stains. The furniture and bedspread looked like they were from the 1980s. The refrigerator was unplugged and unusable. There was no dead bolt on the door, the ONLY lock was a door knob lock, so I kept a chair in front of the door. Worst of all, there was no heat at all. The heater did not work. By the time I discovered this, the office (two hotels down the street) was closed, and I was stuck. I got virtually no sleep, shivering all night. It is on the lake and has a nice view of the bridge (from the parking lot), but the grounds were covered in garbage, beer cans and cigarette butts. I didn't see the "free breakfast", it was at a third hotel. The office was supposed to open at 7AM (I couldn't get out of there soon enough), but it was still closed with a sign instructing you to go to yet another hotel! It wasn't even connected to this group of hotels, but they took my information and the key and "checked me out" that way.
