Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mexico City

Everything was excellent! Staff is great! they help with anything that you might need. Great location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Easy access to visit different points in the City. Room was spotless!

Superb service, great location.

The hotel is luxurious but avoids seeming pretentious because of the quality of the staff. My room was exceptionally comfortable as well as luxurious, and I appreciated the many free amenities, such as unlimited water, soft drinks, etc. from the mini-fridge. But it was the staff that made this an exceptional stay for me in a new (for me), and exciting city. Every one of my staff encounters was a genuine pleasure as well as providing expert assistance and advice on what to see and how best to navigate the city. While not inexpensive, the cost is well below the high quality of the accommodations and the service. In addition to the hotel, itself, the associated restaurant, Dulce Patria, is an exceptional dining experience that should not be missed.

Very friendly staff. Clean and sophisticated hotel. Great location, near many great restaurants. Nice park nearby. Great area for shopping. Good breakfast items (not included in continental breakfast plan, but worth the extra money). Don't miss their restaurant "Dulce Patria" next door!

Firstly, the hotel is significantly more expensive than any other option in Mexico City - and for reasons which aren't clear. The room size isn't particularly large, though well-appointed. The included breakfast is a real disappointment, and is essentially just a fruit salad with a pastry. If you want anything else, you must pay more. This is a pretty poor breakfast when you're paying upwards of $500 per night. The hotel also has no iron available for guests. They do offer a complementary pressing service, but the wait can be long if you need a suit or several pieces ironed. It would be better if such an expensive hotel could keep at least one iron around for guests to use. The location is quite nice though, and the hotel is in a safe location. But it's a highly internationalized and high-end part of town, so if you want to experience the "real" Mexico, you'll have to take a thirty minute cab ride.

I go to Mexico City for work a few times a year and Las Alcobas continues to be my first choice. Location, quality, service and food remains excellent visit after visit.
