Sleep Inn & Suites Harrisburg - Hershey Southwest

They have mold in there rooms and refuse to give me my money back. Mold in multiple rooms

Well maintained hotel. Lobby was clean, friendly staff. Suite room was comfortable, quiet air con, good shower pressure. TV had adjustable viewing angle in suite.

Room could use more cell phone plugs. Door noisy to open and close.

The property was beautiful and located near the venue at Hershey Park

When I was checking in the person helping me couldn’t find my reservation and got a bit snippy.

Woke up to a roach crawling on me. Did not sleep after that. I also was put as a single person in a room directly across from a family with a crying child and barking dog and lots of visitors from 6-10 pm. It was a lot!

I need a bigger space! 1) The maid left our room door open for about 6 hours! It was closed and locked when leaving at 9 am. When we returned around 2:30, the door was not closed! My husband is on a large quantity of medication and if stolen, we would have been in dire straits! I complained to the front desk and she was so unconcerned and could not understand why I was so upset. 2) We travel very early in the am to avoid traffic jams in the major cities so we get in town extremely early. We stop at the hotel to see if we can check in early. Fully prepared to be denied because of policy. The clerk at the front desk explained that she only had 2 housekeepers coming in but we could call her two hours. So we went and had breakfast and enjoyed some antique stores. After 3 hours, my husband called back and was told to give her another hour then we could checkin. Arrived back at the hotel, the clerk started the progress. The manger came out of the back and said no about early checkin and policy said 3:00. The clerk tried to explain what she had told us and that the room was ready. The manager told her that she was wrong and we had to wait. The clerk’s response was “don’t talk to me like that!”. 3) There was a dirty hand towel under the sofa in the room. Also one draped on the top of the floor lamp. It stayed there the length of our stay even with the maid coming in 3 times! 4) The carpet was bunching up in the middle of the room so it was a tripping hazard! 5) The bathroom and hall lights are on sensors so every time we moved in that area the bright light would flood the room. Hard to sleep. 6) Our room keys would stop working numerous times a day. They said we weren’t handling them correctly! We travel a lot and have never had this inconvenience! 7) The breakfast was very disappointing! No eggs, bacon, or sausage offered!

The property was a close distance to the venue we were going to . With easy acess to and from . Also places to eat or dine within a close distance.

Staff was friendly, but hotel was fairly basic. It was pretty clean overall but with a little bit of a stuffy smell. Our room had a little spill leftover on one of the night tables and it hadn’t been vacuumed too well near the couch, but other than that it was ok. Not a lot of breakfast options, especially not healthy ones. Overall I’d say it was just a basic hotel, we got what we paid for.
