White Mountain Hotel and Resort

A lovely hotel in a beautiful quiet setting with great views. The rooms were spacious and everything clean and tidy. The bar/restaurant were great with nice ambience and the breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The location is close to shopping and restaurants. Although, the hotel restaurant is superb. The atmosphere was lovely, clean and comfortable.

There are many hotels in the White Mountains and after staying here, you will no longer wonder about other options and will likely get online to plan your next visit and book your next stay at The White Mountain Hotel & Resort. From the decor to the food to the service, everything is elegant without being stuffy. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the inclusion of thick robes make popping down to the pool and hot tub a breeze. Housekeeping is quick to fulfill requests (we requested two additional robes for our teen children which were delivered within minutes) and the beverage stations are well-maintained. As someone who needs a cup of coffee with actual cream or milk (not powdered milk) to start my day, the ability to walk a few feet down the hall to fill this need helped get every day off to a terrific start. Breakfast at Ledges kept the good vibes going and dinner, especially the crab cakes, made for a lovely end to the day. All members of the waitstaff were friendly and personable, the view was beautiful, and we were even treated to lively piano performances during several meals. This was our first trip to the White Mountains and the location of this hotel seems pretty central to most areas - about an hour drive to most places such as The Cog Railway, North Woodstock and Weirs Beach. Many hiking trails are just minutes away. If you're looking for a hotel that's as pretty and as welcoming as the surrounding scenery, end your search and book your stay at The White Mountain Hotel & Resort; you will not be disappointed.

During our stay, we witnessed two guests engaging in inappropriate sexual activity in the pool. This was clearly visible and continued for some time, making the environment extremely uncomfortable in what should be a shared, relaxing space. We reported this immediately. Staff later confirmed via CCTV that the incident had occurred and advised that the pool would be closed and cleaned, and that the individuals would be dealt with. At that point, we felt reassured. Unfortunately, this reassurance did not last. Although we were provided with a refund for the stay, the experience had already been significantly impacted. The following day, the pool remained open with no indication that it had been closed or cleaned. We received no proactive update and had to follow up ourselves, at which point we were informed that the individuals had already checked out in the early hours. This lack of communication was disappointing. As a result, we had avoided the facilities, despite this being a key reason for booking the hotel. We were offered complimentary dining in the hotel bar; however, we were later asked to pay for drinks, which was not clearly explained and felt inconsistent given the circumstances. More broadly, the hotel did not meet the expectations of a 4-star standard: • The room was not serviced during the day, and housekeeping approached us upon our return instead. • No shower gel was provided. • A light in the room was not working. • Guest behaviour unpleasant - including loud profanity in dining area. • Poor cleanliness in the pantry. • Soundproofing between rooms was poor. • Basic TV. While the initial response from staff appeared professional, the lack of follow-through, communication, and overall standards made this a very disappointing experience.

Cozy, classy, spacious, beautifully appointed. Great views, amazing heated outside pool (great temp, even when it was 30 degrees outside), sauna top notch,bar area great, bartender Jess was amazing, all staff was wonderful. 4 friends doing a quick getaway...it was perfect. Thing to note...the 'parking lot' views as stated in description? The views are great, don't be deterred.

Great stay! Would definitely return. Food was fantastic and staff was lovely. Sauna was large and nice. Really nice view. Literally no spa just a hotel room so beware.

.. Quiet location and 5 minutes off the main rd, wonderful atmosphere, friendly people, outdoor heated pool is the best with view of mountains .Food and Tavern is the best!

Our new favorite hotel/inn in North Conway. Excellent room with great decor and ambiance. The restaurant was outstanding. One of the best we have ever eaten at. Friendly staff!
