Sandaway Suites & Beach

We loved our peaceful stay in Oxford. We loved the location and comfortable stay. Finding dinner nearby was great and enjoying the sunset were high points. We loved the relaxing lounge chairs and small beach area on site and that they provided coffee , tea, and breakfast snacks (although I wish something had been offered gluten-free). The welcome was great and a small tour of the property showed other amenities to make us feel at home. We only had a short stay but would certainly love to return. As we’ve been farewell, we hopped on the ferry with our car to the next town of Saint Michaels.

We enjoyed our room, but felt it needed a little bit of airing out after the winter season. With the screened-in front porch, we had plenty of nice fresh air and after turning off the air conditioner, this helped us sleep comfortably without any mustiness. This is not to imply that it was moldy or unclean in anyway it was just opened up after a rainy week and cleanliness was tip top.

We enjoyed how beautiful , peaceful and relaxing the property was. Ben was a very welcoming and helpful host in planning our stay. The rooms and entire resort are extremely clean, comfortable and charming. No detail is overlooked. Oxford is a perfect location for a fun time. We certainly look forward to visiting again!

Outstanding location right on the water. Wonderful porch to view the water, the boats, the birds, a few rabbits. Quiet, peaceful; clean and comfortable. Couldn't be nicer!

Loved the water view, walkability to the quaint village of Oxford, and proximity to the ferry. The room was very spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Coffee, Keurig, cream, and sugars were provided, along with a spacious refrigerator. A treat bag with snacks and seltzer drinks was provided upon check-in, which was very smooth and easy. Unfortunately, most stores and eating options were closed Monday and Tuesday. No breakfast was offered other than walking into the village for a breakfast sandwich and/or yogurt for an extra charge. The rooms are very pricey and I would like a decent breakfast included within that price.

This was our second time in the past four years to stay here. It is relaxing, restful. The owners are on site, this is not a hotel, or a resort, not for children, but worth the time and expense. Oxford is a quintet and historical town. Off season, it has limited venues, but it is relaxing.

The location was gorgeous. We enjoyed the sunset from the lawn very much. Staff was very helpful. Hotel was in an older building that was well maintained and charming.

This was a lovely place to stay in a magical location in Oxford, MD. It is a very old building however, so the facility has old inn quirks. Floors are not necessarily level, etc. But oozing in charm so I didn't care. Staff couldn't have been nicer.
