Resort Grande Baia

My husband and son stayed at this resort for 2 nights. The hotel is in a nice location and the property is well maintained. The staff on check in and check out were very efficient and friendly. The room was spacious, clean & comfortable. The bathroom has been renovated which was great, however, the room could do with an update. The swimming pool is very nice with sea water. Breakfast was ok.

Just got back from two weeks self catering at the Grande Baia. Great complex in a great location for sightseeing... BUT you have to have a car to really see what Northern Sardinia has to offer. Staff couldn't do enough for you and the two bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious clean, had great air con and is set in quiet and well maintained grounds.

This is a decent resort which ticks a lot of boxes if your are looking for a good value family stay in Sardinia. Local beaches are great for the kids. Only criticism is the salt water pool.

The hotel is a large compound in a quiet rural area, a few km away from San Teodoro. Lovely beaches can be found in the vicinity, although a car is needed to get there -the hotel offers a shuttle service, but charges 5 euro/ person/ trip. The hotel has its own beach, which is not up to the standards of the surrounding beaches, but which can be reached free of charge through a shuttle service every 20 minutes. Accommodation comes in individual apartments of large size, very nice and quiet. They have a kitchen, but the hotel charges 100 euro for the rental of cutlery and basic cooking items, plus 50 euros for the use of gas (!). While we were there, we had to report a plague of ants and of wasps (on two separate days); hotel management quickly responded and the ants disappeared, not the wasps. The level of facilities was disappointing for this type of hotel -we were all families with young children. There is only a pool for adults, plus four pools that are part of a spa that has to be paid separately (25 Euro/person/ visit), therefore mostly empty. Evening performances were of poor quality and there were not many activities for children or adults. Staff was nice and helpful, although not always up to the standards found in similar hotels -as explained above. Food was decent, but boring. The menu did not change a bit in the 8 days we stayed there. We were asked to pay for services that are normally included in the rate, like clean beach towels or cutlery.

This is definitely a family resort-and like a club. We did not find the private beach to be that attractive. The food was not very good. Staff was very friendly.

dont recommend to go there. poor facilities and services. "resort on the beach" but you need to use shuttle to go to beach if u want to come back need to call hotel from your mobile. poor service. "beach resort" but need to pay for beach towels replacement - very expensive once you come with kids. service is poor. below average food, dinner is costly. must pay additional cost for club card regardless if you you hotel facilities and more and more. dont come!

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The staff is very professional and always available to serve the customers

Beautiful views of the hotel. Clean and well laid out. Need a car however to visit the local beaches. Staff courteous.

We booked a suite to only find out on arrival that they had double booked which is very frustrating. We were put up in one of the apartments which wasn't what we requested however the next day we were in our suite which had far more upto date decor with a lovely bathroom. The buffet breakfast was good. The staff were very nice but with limited English vocabulary. The gym was rubish, probably the worst I have seen and too hot to work out in as the A/C wouldn't work. The location of the hotel is ideal to get to some of the beatific beaches in the area where we spent most of our time which are a short drive away.
