Wat mij erg stoorde was de conditie van de planten bij het zwembad, maar vooral in de ontbijtzaal en de ontvangsthal. bij de entree waren plantjes gepoot, die er dood en verdord bijstonden. Zet de lelijke planten in de tuin achter het hotel en stel iemand aan die verantwoordelijk is voor de flora in en om het hotel

Overall the recent reviews of this hotel provide some balance. We arrived early afternoon and understandably our room wasn’t ready so we took our daughter to the pool while the friendly reception staff were happy to hold on to our luggage. They called us a few hours later once the room was available. Based on the recent reviews, there was no surprise that the room was a little tatty in comparison to the lobby and other areas. That being said, the bathroom was perfect with the exception of NO HOT WATER. We called reception and were informed that the issue was impacting the whole hotel. We appreciate that this was far from ideal for everyone but it took them over 24 hours to get any hot water back on and no communication throughout that time was very frustrating and raised huge hygiene concerns. Our biggest issue with this hotel was the pool deck. They seem to hose the deck every couple of days, but we didn’t see it get scrubbed or swept the full 9 days we were there. That along with how loose some of the panels were and the screws sticking through them at the splash/children’s pool left a lot to be desired. The comfort of the sun loungers has been mentioned in a few comments but we didn’t find this to be an issue, the real issue again was the cleanliness of these. It seems that the hotel is lacking a maintenance team, as we found the grounds to be unkept at the front of the hotel also. The housekeeping process was a little odd. One trolley doing the cleaning and towels and another replenishing water and coffee etc but they were not in sync. Your room could be clean by midday but they knock on your door at 4pm with your water for the day. Breakfast quality was good but selection isn’t vast and is the same every day. Although check in was friendly, the staff at the pool bar are the only team that we would give a shout out to. The other staff will do anything to avoid having to greet you with a polite hello, and god forbid you ask them to help. This hotel comes in less than other 5* hotels in the Algarve and ultimately…you get what you pay for. This is a good 3* by British standards.

Not sure why so many negative reviews. We arrived at 11.30pm to 2 large rooms my husband and myself with king size bed our adult daughter had twin we hadn't asked for ajoining rooms but were able to have them unlocked. We had a coffee machine kettle and mini bar which we didnt use but was avaliable. Breakfast was fantastic and catered for all my daughter is lactose free and was able to get lactose free milk every day. We also managed to get small cartons of lactose free milk from ludl a 10 minute walk away for drinks in our room. The location is perfect for walking into Olhao to plenty of restaurants and Bars. Great pool outside and never had issue with sunbeds The staff were friendly and helpful. What else do you want.
