"Disappointing "

The breakfast was very much like processed food, the staff were very rude and the hotel generally wasn’t worth the money at all

"I’m coming back "

10.0

A hidden gem. I am away from home working and have been all around the country for the last 10 months. This really put a smile on my face. Staying in a traditional style cottage I really felt relaxed. I am returning this week

"Peaceful rural retreat in Leicestershire "

8.0

Lovely stay in Rural Leicestershire at the Kings Arms. Arrived in the evening and the welcome was warm and friendly. Hadn’t booked for supper but I was found a table. Menu was very rural and the flavours of the meal were excellent. Great service throughout. The accommodation was a little small but comfortable and for the rate, very good. Very clean throughout and well enough appointed. My only complaint was that being an old coaching house, the bedroom doors were quite tight and sticky to close, so was woken when the people in the room next to mine left at 5.00am. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

"Just superb"

10.0

A wonderful place to stay. Picturesque, beautifilly kept, service exemplary with friendly staff and clientel. Food qas absolutely superb- dinner amd breakfast cooked to perfection. An awesome location for photographing Rutland Water. My only negative was that the sign outside the bar stated 5pm for opening but opened at 6 but well worth waiting and a minor inconvenience in light of everything else. Booked through Hotels.com and found thus for the price of some Travelodges!

"Little Gem ideally located for touring Rutland"

10.0

Fantastic stay. Lovely location, friendly staff and comfortable accommodation. Loved this place. Its like a village within a village. We ate breakfast and dinner here. Both were great and used locally sourced ingredients. We will definitely stay here again.

"A small trip down memory Lane"

10.0

When I booked the Kings Head l had asked for a single room as I didn’t need a twin / double room so quite happy with a single. Pleasantly surprised to find that I had been upgraded to a double room, in fact the same room on the first trip with my late wife 7/8 years ago. Only thing different about this trip was of course the Covid rules and restrictions so I sadly was only able once to partake in an evening meal and breakfast. The food was up to the fine standard I had on my first visit and the excellent breakfast set me up for the day. I’m already looking to arrange another visit this year.
