The Ilchester Arms Hotel, Ilchester Somerset

The room was small but had everything we needed (we knew that we had chosen a small bedroom). Comfortable bed, decent shower. My husband needs a gluten free diet and his breakfast was the same as mine apart from the toast which is always a good sign. Breakfast was very tasty with good quality bacon and sausage.

Very comfortable room, lovely dinner in the dining room, and great breakfast. Also room for our car in the parking area. We had a family room No.9. a double bed ,single bed and a sofa bed. It's our 3rd stay in this hotel and we can recommend it to anyone else.

There was no place to hang out clothes, but it was only one night so we managed ok. The dining room was very busy when we had dinner.

Room was fabulous, facilities were very nice, clean and did the job great nights sleep, Breakfast was good with all usual suspects. The young lad that done the bar was very helpful.

Lack of staff! One person doing different jobs, the young lady at reception was doing the desk, serving at the bar and clearing tables. This caused waiting to get booked in while drinks were severed coffees made and delivered this was the cause of a mistake with our booking that wasn't there... had to find another hotel for the night caused by overbooking....

Such a warm welcome. Excellent breakfast. Good evening meals. Car parking behind was good. Quality throughout. Tasteful and absolutely spotless.

Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Staff were helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them. The room and facilities were also excellent.

Parking could be a little difficult if you arrived later in the evening - testament to the popularity of the hotel but you can't expect a huge carpark in the centre of town.
