Our second stay at the Ilchester Arms, the bed was comfortable, both the evening meal and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel is conveniently situated.

There was a plug in air freshener in the room which we found overpowering, we unplugged it during our stay.

The food in the pub was excellent!

There were dog hairs on the sofa and pouffe.

My daughter and I stayed while we attended a funeral nearby. The family room was absolutely fantastic, and far better than expected, especially with the separate rooms. The food was fantastic and great value for money, and the staff couldn't have made us feel more welcome or looked after.

Excellent, smiley and attentive staff - at reception, serving meals, in the bar and the owner. Room was clean and tidy. Everything one needed including a charging extension cable and a fan for the unusually hot weather. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of it. Good choice of cooked food. Well presented. Served quickly. Lovely to have chopped fresh fruit and scones. Restaurant served a varied menu of dishes and prices. Great beef burger. We felt completely at home and knew that any queries would be sorted straight away. Good parking on site. Good beer garden with children’s section. Location was super for stop over when travelling south. Plenty of interesting places to visit close by. Various National Trust houses and gardens and the Fleet Air Arm museum that took us all day to see! All in all great value for money. We shall tell our friends.

Could on occasion be noisy as room onto the main road. However the room had a fan so we could close the window to avoid traffic noise.

Parking was full everywhere
