Hotel Føroyar

We had 4 days in the Faroe Islands over New Year and could not have wished for a better experience. Reception staff were all enormously knowledgeable and helpful, breakfast offered a wide variety of hot and cold food, and the rooms were perfect - amazing view over the town, spacious & gorgeous toiletries. The town is easily walkable to and from the hotel. We had been advised to get a taxi back as it is uphill, but this really isn’t necessary if you have reasonable walking ability. There are good circular hikes from the hotel - we did a 12km taking in the town and waterfalls. There is also a cheap and efficient bus service from the town. The number 300 takes you to Miovagur and from there you can walk out to the floating lake. This bus also takes you to the airport. A fantastic hotel & excellent New Year destination. Thank-you to all of the fantastic staff.

Everything was great, but breakfast was not ready at 7 as advertised.

Lovely hotel in quiet area Near to Torshavn Great staff and food Would come back

I recently stayed at Hotel Føroyar, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel offers stunning views over Tórshavn and the fjords, with comfortable rooms and a peaceful atmosphere. However, the room cleanliness could be improved—I noticed mold in the bathroom, which was disappointing. The breakfast was typical, but the staff, while friendly, were slow, and there were always dirty dishes left on the tables. The location is a bit remote, but the tranquility and beautiful surroundings make it a nice retreat.

Great updated property. A little far from marina/downtown if you don’t have a car

Great room. I wish breakfast was included with the stay for the price I paid and lack of opiotns outside the hotel.
