The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino

Very friendly staff, especially Vasilis at Lagoon Pool provided excellent service for all of us consistently..

We recently returned from a fantastic family stay at The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino. Overall, it is an incredible destination for families, and we would absolutely come back again. Here is a breakdown of our experience. 🌟 The Pros - Amazing for Kids & Activities: The facilities for children are top-tier especially Sandcastle activities and team and the water park where you can easily have the kids spend the day and love it. There is an endless list of things to do. - The Suite: We booked a one-bedroom suite with private pool and got upgraded to a sea view as ambassador, and it was perfect. The size was generous, the amenities were excellent, and the view was beautiful. Despite the resort being at or near full occupancy, we really felt secluded. - The Beach & Breakfast: The beach is stunning and well-maintained, super clean. In the mornings, the breakfast buffet offered a great selection of high-quality options. - Outstanding Service: The staff really made our stay. From the reception desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was super friendly, incredibly responsive, and fast to assist with any request. 💡 Areas for Improvement While our stay was wonderful, there are a couple of things that could make the guest experience even better (tips for the Costa Navarino app more than the hotel): - App & Itinerary Planning: Because there are so many activities on the app, it’s easy to feel a bit lost or end up planning everything sub optimally. It would be incredibly helpful if the resort / app created some pre-made itinerary templates (e.g., "The Active Family Day" or "Relaxation Track") to help guests organize their time. - Promoting the Local Region: The resort is amazing, but you shouldn't feel constrained to it! Costa Navarino could do a better job advertising the local area. Beautiful nearby spots like Pylos and Gialova have fantastic restaurants and scenery that guests shouldn't miss out on and that gives you a “breather” from the same people you see everywhere in the resort. - Restaurant Consistency: The food quality was a bit hit-or-miss across the resort. We had great meals at Da Luigi, the breakfast buffet, and Barbouni. However, our experience at Six was disappointing and didn't match the high standards of the others. 🚗 Travel Note for UK Visitors The only downside to the trip was the travel logistics. It is a shame that Kalamata Airport doesn't offer better flight options to the UK. Having to fly into Athens and make the long drive round trip with kids in tow is quite exhausting, but the resort itself makes the journey worth it. Would we return? Absolutely, without a doubt!

Komfort

Hatten zig mal Schwierigkeiten mit der Abrechnung. Es wurden Dinge verrechnet, die nicht zu uns gehörten. Kann 1x passieren, aber gleich 3x und immer wieder dasselbe. Dazu Pools geschlossen, obwohl die auf sein sollten. Personal muss noch üben für ein 5 Sterne Haus.

Not a 5* hotel!.. Not even close! If you’re thinking of booking a stay at the Westin, dont! Trust me.. it’s just awful! Service: Badly organised, confused and unprofessional. Food: just awful.. after 2 days we couldn’t take anymore , so ate off resort. Sure, the food is expensive, but thats to be expected at good 5* resorts. Everyone knows what they signed up to.. the problem is the quality.. cheap, lazy and no care taken. When we raised issues to the staff, we just got insincere, basic apologies and no action or resolution taken. I can only assume this is a ‘top down’ issue. Management must know how bad it is.. And to the staff / management at the resort: Kindly spare me (and everyone reading this review) your empty and pointless ‘copy paste’ response about how you ‘take feedback seriously’ bla bla bla. Just take a look at your resort from a guest perspective. Perhaps even eat at one of your restaurants! It’s embarrassing! I don’t need or want a reply.. just do better!
