Hotel La Chaumière

Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Climatisation très appréciable. Restaurant très beau, peu fréquenté et très bon. Une soirée très agréable pour nous.

Bedroom & bathroom superbly furnished; shower was excellent & toiletries available Room was very large with plenty of plug points to charge devices In room fridge had 2 x 500ml bottles of complimentary mineral water - very nice touch Secure underground parking was ideal Dinner menu was excellent, as was the food Staff very friendly/helpful Air con Free wifi with a strong connection

Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Klimaanlage hat perfekt funktioniert. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich. Besonders gut war auch, dass wir die Möglichkeit hatten in der Hotelgarage zu parken.

Petit déjeuner très correct

Room was a good size and modern.

We ate in the hotel restaurant and ordered steak 'a point' when it arrived we questioned the cooking but was told it was as we had ordered it. The steak was very over cooked and when the waitress came to clear our plates we did tell her it was inedible and she said it was our fault for ordering it well done. We said we had ordered it 'a point' meaning medium and she said that 'a point' meant well done. We then said that 'bien cuit' meant well done and she said it meant 'on top of well done'. She was extremely rude to us and when we left the restaurant to pay the bill she came out in to the lobby to further berate us. We felt extremely upset being insulted in such a public way whilst paying for the meal we could not eat. We travel regularly for both work and pleasure as our Bookings.com profile and history shows and have never been treated in such a poor way. The waitress was very rude and also unprofessional smoking outside the restaurant in between serving.
