Villa Mar Azul

Excellent accomodation, very clean and had everything you needed. Its just a short walk to the lovely beach and the hotel even supplied the beach towels. Lots of choice for eating out in Lagos, which is only a short drive away with plenty of free parking. We would definitely stay again as it is a good base to explore the Algarve. The only criticism is the lack of check in desk at the property. You have to call another hotel that is part of the same group and they sent someone to give us keys etc. very helpful and friendly staff.

We have a nice stay, the room was spacious, clean, the beds were nice, the room was luminous, like the picture on the web site. The only downside for us was that the pool was freezing - a little bit less than the see, but not really fun. The sea is not far away, but if stairs are a challenge for you... it’s not in the center, so if you rent or have a car it’s nice. If not ...

Alles soweit in Ordnung, aber auch nichts Besonderes.

De studio was perfect, ruim, schoon en voorzien van keuken met de nodige keukenspullen. Ontbijt is perfect en personeel heel vriendelijk. Zeker een aanrader !

Das Hotel liegt nur 400 Meter von einem traumhaften Strand entfernt. Die Betten sind ein Traum - 2m breit und superbequem. Schade, dass ein anderes Gebäude den perfekten Blick zum Strand verdeckt, aber ansonsten war alles super. Einchecke und Auschecken lief auch unkompliziert und die Restauranttipps waren super.

This hotel was beautiful but very difficult to find and the phone number given on Expedia was not correct. You have to check into a sister hotel that is several blocks a way and both are extremely difficult to find given all of the narrow one-way streets in Lagos. But it was worth it and had a wonderful queen size bed, large bathroom, partial kitchen, a pool, and lovely balcony within 5 mins walk to the beach and a little grocery store. Best stay in Portugal and Spain but I am glad I didn't try to find it in the dark!! GPS was worthless!

kleine Anlage mit 10 Wohneinheiten, ruhig gelegen und 5min fussläufig zum Strand, nächster Supermarkt (intermarché) mit dem Auto 5 Minuten, sehr gut sortiert, um das Umland zu erkundigen ist ein Mietwagen sehr empfehlenswert, gute Infrastruktur, 2 Strandrestaurants (immer vorbestellen) in der Nähe, die gutes Essen zu bezahlbaren Preisen anbieten, Empfehlung natürlich Fisch und dazu Wein von der Algarve, selbst kochen geht auch, aber die Küche ist etwas spartanisch eingerichtet, Personal sehr freundlich und es hat uns (Familie) an nichts gefehlt.

Great villa and well kept and serviced. Very sedate and private with a great pool. Nearest shop is a good 20 minute walk though and taxi service in Lagos as a whole is not brilliant. Lovely stay 'soured' by no taxi being confirmed for transfer back to airport. Staff didn't really seem bothered so we had to arrange our own taxi which we felt should have been confirmed by villa. They simply said we can arrange one but it was far too close to missing flight hence we had to arrange ourselves.

I've now stayed at this property a couple of times and love it. The pictures do not do this villa justice. It is pristine. There is a supermarket a 10min walk from here, 2 restaurants on the beach just a 5min walk and breathtaking views of the Algarve coast on the rugged trails just minutes from your room. The rooms are large and comfortable, and did I mention spotless? The staff here really do a great job of keeping things clean and fresh. It's a little further from Lagos town centre but we never found this to be a problem as a cab from downtown cost €6.50. We also enjoy to walk so the 20min it takes you to get to places like Praia do Camilo or Lagos town centre was never an issue.
