Waverley Hotel

The hotel is very central, with on street parking available with a parking permit obtainable from Reception for 1 hour Monday-Saturday until 6pm. On Sundays there are no time restrictions for parking. There was a substantial full English breakfast on offer plus cereal and toast each morning…The staff were very helpful and friendly. My room had an en-suite shower, hairdryer, tv and tea and coffee making facilities.

There was no lift and I had a lot of luggage with me, but the night porter kindly carried my suitcase to room 18 for me on the second floor. The decor is tired and worn, but that is reflected in the very reasonable price!

Yes it’s an old fashioned hotel but no real grumbles. There was a safe but no instructions.

From arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, everything you could want from juice, tea and coffee, cereal, toast and a lovely fry up. Definitely stay there again.

I've stayed here 3 times. Its staff are welcoming and very friendly. Food is excellent. Bedrooms are good. I will use this again for future visits.
