The property and the staff where very accommodating and helpful and they where amazing

Fire alarm went off and it took about 5 minutes for us to realise it was infact a fire alarm (same happened with my friend to which wheb he came out of his room to ask what the noise was he was just told “oh it’s probably nothing just go back to your room” no checks done to either my friends room or mine Once I grabbed my dog we blundered down the hallway nothing was aluminised managed to find a fire exit so went down to where it said fire exit and tripped (again no lighting around the stairs) and it was only on the THIRD door I tried I found the fire escape only to find out (to what I could not see at the time) it was BOLTED SHUT Spoke to the manager who said they had all been unbolted and that they check to see if they are unblocked every day but that doesn’t exude the fact they shouldn’t have locked on there on the first place as i couldn’t get out!!

Nothing everything was perfect

Room cleanliness and comfort were good, reception staff service was excellent, nothing to much trouble.

Breakfast not buffet style as usual. This time cooked to order with a little to much fat. No toast or preserves offered. Cleanliness and decor in the upper floors not so good. Stair carpet needed a good vacuum and clean.

Staff friendly and helpful

As it was a contractors hotel, I expected a little noise and was not disappointed, the room did have a little street noise but that is out of hotels control

Everything was perfect for me

I thought the staff here were the real highlight, very friendly, personable and polite, the room was very clean, really enjoyed our stay, gave us a good impression of Workington (which isn't always a given...)

The street it was on wasn't the best, but we knew that, we know the area in general can sometimes carry a reputation, it's no problem really,
