Wellesley Boutique Hotel

This is just such a comfortable place to stay. The location is ideal, so close to the railway station and Lampton Quay for great shopping. Staff are always helpful and kind.

We stayed here based on the hotel’s location, and were not disappointed. Very well located to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront, it suited us perfectly. The hotel itself is quite old, and has a lot of history. We were in room 402, which was very spacious. Plenty of room, with a couple of chairs and a desk. The bathroom also had a bath. Everything was clean, and the room was very comfortable. Minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. As has been noted before, the cups are very small, and could be upgraded, or perhaps include a couple of mugs. We never really saw much of the staff, and hardly came across any other guests. We had breakfast at the attached coffee shop, which was good. They make a very decent coffee. Overall a comfortable stay. There are a couple of areas in the hotel that could use some maintenance, the stairwell, and also cleaning the facade would brighten up the exterior of the building.

This hotel is in a great location for both the bus to the airport and the train station. The room was huge and the staff friendly and helpful. They provided me with a big golf umbrella which was a game changer as it was bucketing down. Nice to stay somewhere unusual with olde worlde charm instead of the standard corporate offering

Close to the ferry. There is a lift to your room. Room was very spacious .

This hotel oozes old world elegance and charm. Spacious room, high ceilings, good location, easy checkin. Loved the old lift with scissor cage doors.

Parking not great but accessible

L’emplacement est vraiment top pour découvrir Wellington à pied. Le bâtiment à beaucoup de caractère avec une ambiance historique qui change des hôtels modernes. La chambre était spacieuse, très propre et vraiment confortable. L’accueil a été adorable. Comme après 18 heures, il n'y a plus personne, on se croirait dans l'hôtel Transylvanie, ce qui donne encore plus de charme au lieu.

Masonic connection (2nd floor) did not make us feel comfortable.

Very large room and bathroom, clean and with all conforts. Complimentary tea and coffee…shower and bathtube together
