"Don't bother"

2.0

The hotel staff claims to not speak English, even though they're on the same road as the American Cemetery, across the street from the overlord museum, and do speak some english when it suits them. There were not enough towels in the room for the number of people booked, and the staff goes home at night so there's nothing you can do about it until morning. There was 1/2 roll of toilet paper and no more. The wifi had a good signal, but the internet wouldn't connect. I tried to ask why/if they could reset the modem and was told no. At the end of our stay, even though I had paid through Expedia and had the email on my phone, I was told I had to pay for the room. I was not allowed to leave until I had paid (again) for this room 300 euros. Once I got home and contacted Expedia about the double charge, I got more of the same. It's been 3 weeks now and Expedia claims that I can't be refunded because they can't get an english-speaking person on the phone at the hotel to verify my charge. Ummm, I have the receipt and can send you a copy of my credit card bill... I'll never stay at this hotel again, and I may be done with Expedia too.

"Friendly and welcoming."

8.0

We arrived late and tired only to be told that the restaurant was closed on Friday evening. Don't know if this was a one off or every Friday but would have been good if this information was given to us sooner as had to go searching for food. Overall a pleasant stay.

"out in the country and plain"

6.0

Half a mile from American cemetery and just across the street from a nice museum of military equipment, a couple of easy miles from a nice port town to get great food. Place is a little odd, like a two story apartment building but without the kitchen. Not fancy and food at attached restaurant is very limited in selection, breakfast was poor for the price, if you just want to stay one night and see the beaches and sights go ahead but you are out in the country and will have to travel for a candy bar. Longer stays would be better in a local town.

"Okay for an over-nighter."

6.0

Good hotel with quick access to the Normandy sites. Breakfast (not included) is way too expensive even for France. No one speaks English and both Hotels.com and the hotel billed my credit card for the stay (still working on geting that addressed).

"Good"

6.0

Be sure to get there early. We arrived late and slept in our car because no one was at the office. We tried to call and notify the hotel of our late arrival but got a message in French we could not understand. The hotel was gracious and did not charge us for that night.
