Muir Lodge Motel

I've stayed here before and enjoyed both times. I like that there are two bottles of water (complimentary) in the room as well as a couple of breakfast pastries. The bathroom amenities appear to be high quality. The towels were large and soft! I'm sure it's hard to keep up on but the only observation of something needing attention was the front porch; it appeared that the previous guest had spilled something sticky and bits of dirt and debris were clinging to the spill.

This updated classic mid-century motel has interior updates but remains unfinished. There was a bad smell in the closet next to the bed (no doors to close it off). I reserved a king bed that morning but upon arrival was told it wasn’t available due to “a plumbing problem.”

Alhambra Ave. is right there and noisy although less so in the evening. The rooms don't have carpets and thus not as comfortable.

if you’re the type that doesn’t like the sound of banging on walls or noise coming from neighboring rooms, then I dont recommend this place. Also another reviewer mentioned heavy cleaning agents, I also experienced this. The smell was very strong and even after opening the window and running the fan for hours I could still smell it.

The property is beautifully kept. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and gave us advice about near by restaurants. We had a 8 a.m. appointment at the Veteran Medical facility, it was a very short drive. We will be staying there again in August

A modern room in a "vintage" motel. The room was clean and comfortable with nice touches by the housekeeping staff. It was surprisingly quiet considering its location on a major road into town. We spent a week here because it is close to family and would certainly stay here again.

I cannot imagine using the pool here only because of its location on the highway, but that's part of its vintage charm, I suppose.
