SpringHill Suites by Marriott Durham Chapel Hill

When I got there everyone was very friendly especially those at the front desk. It was very clean, room was awesome and the amenities were great. It was in an awesome location around a lot of shops. Will visit again.

There is nothing I didn’t like. The hotel was great. The only issue is traffic getting to the hotel.

I began traveling to North Carolina in June of 2024 for business purposes. I didn't know which hotel to choose but, one of my criteria is absolutely a hot tub, and so I picked the Springhill Suites Marriott. I called and verified that they did have a hot tub and it was operable. Got there and it was amazing. The temperature was just right, nice and warm. The room, the area where the pool was, was nice and warm. But more importantly, the people were nice and warm. More specifically, Alonzo and Yashica. They're welcoming spirit and friendly personalities prompted me to use the same hotel when I came back. Anytime I come, all is well. They actually remembered me, which is a testament to their customer service and genuineness. Their personalities are warming and inviting. This is my place every time I visit North Carolina!

I booked a room by phone for two wheelchair-accessible guests with a walk-in shower. However, when we arrived, we were given a mobility-accessible room that did not have enough space for wheelchairs or any handrails. When we spoke to the front desk, we were told the correct room type was already booked and there was nothing they could do. Shortly after, the front desk called our room, they had spoken with the guest who was checking into the accessible room we originally requested, and that guest didn’t need the accessibility features. Ms. Castillo went above and beyond to help us switch rooms and make our stay much more enjoyable. We truly appreciated her kindness, understanding, and excellent service.

Renee the bartender was so great! She made sure to let us know before they closed so we could grab a drink to cap off our night. The house keeping staff was also excellent. We needed service just before they left for the day and they made it work. Front desk staff was as helpful and friendly.

I love staying at this SpringHill. What I really love is the bartender, Renée. She is awesome! She knows my drink and we have great conversations. This is the place to stay when you are in Durham.

Staff is awesome, especially Yasirys! 😊 The hotel sees new or recently remodeled. Everything is clean and in good working order. The TV is a bit small considering the size of the room. Our first room, unfortunately, had a moisture issue and smelled musty. We called down and within minutes Yasirys brought us keys to another room on the same floor and same configuration. There is a gym, pool, and free breakfast is served each morning. There are lots of restaurant choices within walking distance. We booked on points, so it was a good value for us.
