Radisson Blu Gautrain Hotel

The iron in my room wasn't working. When i called the lady said she would be right up after 20min I was still waiting. I eventually went to reception and ask them to sort it out. Very poor service.

I booked the ‘Executive Room with Club Lounge access (high floor)’ but we were given room 604 (not a high floor) and the staff member checking us in did not inform us about any lounge access. We called from the room to check on the lounge access and the staff who answered did not seem to know anything or even want to help. She told us just to just go to the business centre (?) on the 9th floor and it felt like she just wanted to hand us off to someone else to deal with. We were tired from extensive travelling and did not want to deal with more drama so we did not escalate this then. I intentionally booked the Executive room (not a standard room) because we would be arriving in the late afternoon/evening had to leave early the next day to catch a flight, and thought to use the lounge in case we were too tired to leave the hotel. On top of this, there were no face towels, only one hand towel in the bathroom, and the hair dryer was hung up in a dusty bag, which triggered bouts of sneezing when I tried to remove it from the bag to use. The entire experience was very disappointing and I feel that I wasn’t given the room/facilities that I booked. We had to check out at about 5am because of our early flight and there was no one at reception to whom we could provide feedback. I will say that the male staff manning the ground floor entry and shuttle to Sandton City Mall, as well as the shuttle driver, were very helpful and friendly. The complimentary shuttle service was great.

This is a nice spot close to the mall but you still have to be careful.

Very clean property. Room and bed very comfortable and bathroom is clean. The problem is restaurant. They served uncooked chicken and test of the food is terrible. Not professional staff in restaurant. Front desk people are excellent. Other than that very nice hotel.

One of the best hotels l have been to.....as a traveler one needs a great safe place to stay.......a home away from home and l would love to thank the hotel staff Radisson Sandton....Gautrain Shakira thank you for your patronage may God bless you young lady......also had a great time watching soccer with your bar guys.....thank you guys

It has been a while since I stayed here and to be honest it just feels a little tired and dated. Staff are polite but are either under trained or just don’t understand what’s important to the guest. Make sure you put sufficient credit on the room over and above the room rate otherwise you run into all sorts of service issues if you order room service, laundry, drinks, etc.

Fantastic service! Friendly staff and our waiter Thabo was fantastic! Great job. All the reception ladies so friendly and helpful! My preferred stay in Sandton! Love staying at Radisson Blue Gautrain - convenient for business trips! Good breakfast!

Good value, clean hotel with very friendly staff. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Clean room, efficient service, convenient location by Gautrain station (2 minute walk from station to hotel) direct line from JNB airport.
