Carra Beag Guest House

Great Guest House in the centre of Pitlochry. Perfect for breaking up our journey home to NE England from a week on the Isle of Skye. We received a warm welcome from Mark when we arrived and had excellent instructions about how everything worked, timings of breakfast, free sherry and carrot cake in the lounge etc. We had a cosy room and even a fridge and a coffee machine. The breakfast choices on a wipe clean form was a great idea. We made the most of our stay and followed recommendations from Mark regarding where to eat and to book well in advance as the restaurant (Fern Cottage) gets busy. Breakfast was cooked by Helen and we could honestly say it's one of the best breakfasts we've had whilst staying in a guest house. Lots of choices, ample portions and fresh, local produce. Thanks to Helen and Mark for their hospitality and thanks again to Mark for the chatter.

Nothing comes to mind

Great location, easy to go to restaurants and scroll around the streets, shops, very nice walk near the river. Beautiful old house. Mark is very helpful. The cooked breakfast also great. Fantastic view from the room window. Very clean.

The shower water pressure could be improved for a more comfortable experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Stayed in ground floor room which was spotlessly clean, just lovely and very convenient. Loved the local luxury toiletries and super comfy bed. Very close to town centre. Breakfast was superb and our hosts helpful and friendly.

Absolutely nothing

We got a nice welcome by Mark,who showed us to our room and told us where everything was etc,the personal touches within the room was first class,the bathroom had a large shower cubicle which was brilliant with everything spotless,the bed was super comfy to with proper linen and fluffy pillows,the breakfast was superb also a good variety,I,d recommend the granola with fruit compo,the full Scottish had quality ingredients really nice,very well cooked set you up for the day,compliments to the chef! Oh having complimentary cake and sherry was a nice touch sitting in the lounge,all in all we had a wonderful stay..definitely visit again.thankyou. Brian&cath x

Beautiful boutique guest house. Attention to detail in decorating was beautiful and I loved the small things like the complimentary cake in the lounge and chocolate next to the bed. Really thoughtful.

Being a boutique or smaller place usual things like checkout and breakfast were less flexible in timing available.

Mark was an excellent host. Breakfast was great.

How accommodating Mark and Helen were with our requests…..nothing was too much trouble for them. Extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions for surrounding area.
