Volunteer Inn

Perfect. We were starting the Cotswold trail and the location was perfect. Check in at the bar was easy. We had a twin room which was comfortable and clean. Peter. I think the proprietor, was amazing. We gave him 2 dsys notice on luggage transfer and when we got there he had it all arranged. Thank you.

It was conveniently situated, clean and friendly. Pity that there was no tv signal.

Basic, clean and serviceable. Great breakfast

Great location in center of the village, very clean and comfortable room. The pub looks a bit dingy but the bedroom was bright and fresh. We had a problem with the shower on the second day but they offered us another room to use and the plumber was there to fix it in no time. The best thing was the Indian restaurant behind the pub - amazing! The English breakfast was good too.

Never stayed at this property before but know the area well. .arrived to find we haven't got a room , staff say there is no booking in my name, then offered a room that was very small and very noisy from the people watching football .Although extremely disappointed the manager the next morning offered us a free night to compensate for the mix up. This does not explain why there was no booking from expedia. .

One night stay passing through after trip to Cornwall was handy and a very pretty village. Apart from hotels.com not confirming my booking with The Volunteer, the lady behind the bar was quick and efficient in sitting the room I had prepaid and booked. The breakfast order was missed and so we gave the chef/waitress a surprise when we walked in and she then had to rustle up our order which had been left on the back of our room door and missed by the order collector! The best bit of our stay was the curry house on site, good food and reasonably priced.

Quiet room behind a quiet pub. Great location and breakfast by attentive stafg

nice clean property which is well located just a short walk from the centre. No parking only roadside. Staff are helpful and breakfast is fine. Only downside is that it was a cold evening in August and there was no heating.
