Very nice place! Great location in cute little town! Ate at Indian restaurant connected to pub. Food was very good!

"Nice, small pub and inn"

Didn't know the Volunteer Inn was also an Indian restaurant and local sports bar. We walked up the street for a traditional English meal and quieter evening. However, up in our room you couldn't hear the noise below and the stay was nice. Breakfast the next morning was traditional.

The price was right, so don’t expect posh settings, but that said, it was plenty nice. Plus, the breakfast was lovely! (Served in the Indian restaurant) and was very good. The room was nice, could benefit from a picture or two, other than that, it was lovely! I’d stay there again, but word of warning- it is a pub, so weekend stays require ear plugs at night, but if you’re a solid sleeper you won’t need them. Shared bathroom was great and clean. Place looked like it had recently been updated (2019) so was comfy and clean.
