Friendly staff. Clean, tidy, good food. I have stayed here many times and always excellent

Quaint and friendly pub with cosy rooms. We had a fabulous meal which was definitely the highlight of our stay. The bed was comfy and there was a well stocked hot drink station in the room along with a hair drier and some toiletries were provided. I would recommend The Swan to anyone looking for a countryside getaway.

Drainage issues in the shower (room 5)

Room was very hot, even after we turned off the radiator and had to have the fan on all night. Shower was nice, however the larger shower head in the shower was too big for the actual shower ( no room to escape while washing). The kettle did not work in the room but we only discovered this the next morning (to late to do anything about it). Unfortunately breakfast did not commence until 8.30am at the weekend meaning it was too late for us to have before we left. No where to leave the key the next day and not informed on arrival either.

Lovely clean rooms with toiletries included and ear plugs for the clock tower which chimes every half hour. Great food and breakfast

Excellent comfortable character rooms in separate annex with outside car park, so you don’t need to keep going through the pub to access the accommodation. Pretty well equipped including complementary earplugs in the view of the proximity to the nearby church bells!

Everything is at ground level as the rooms are in a separate, motel-like block behind the pub. Our room (the "family" room as our daughter stayed on our second night) was well laid out and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and a plentiful supply of tea, biscuits etc. We had a very good dinner on both nights in the pub, which had a very nice atmosphere and service was prompt and friendly.

We had to skip breakfast on our first morning as it doesn't start until 8.30 and we had an early appointment in Audlem. On the second morning, breakfast started with fruit juice and cereal but, other than being asked whether we wanted black pudding, we weren't told what the cooked breakfast consisted of, and there was no menu on the table. It turned out to be more than we could finish, though very good. It may have suited some people, but if we had been staying another night, we would have stepped in and asked to pick and choose and make sure we weren't given too much.
