Favorite place to stay near Portland

We love to stay here! This is probably our third or fourth stay through the years. I will note, in those few years, towel and sheet cleanliness has been an issue. We had three different towels in our bathroom that were dirty this time around. In addition, the coffee table in our room was a sticky mess. Otherwise, this hotel is in a great safe location with a good continental breakfast. We will be back as usual but make a mental note to check room cleanliness before settling in.

We recently concluded an 11 month stay at the Grand Hotel which could have been a miserable experience, but it was quite the opposite. The Grand Hotel staff (Management, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Kitchen Crew & Maintenance) are a 1st class team. It is a unique experience to find any service organization in today’s world where the team consistently delivers high standards with a smile, but they are that team. They all work hard to make the hotel a very friendly and responsive, clean and tidy, well maintained hotel with a wonderful breakfast. We are huge fan’s of the Grand Hotel and give them our highest recommendation.

I really like this Hotel. It's quiet, just off the freeway, easy access, super clean, and staff are all really nice. My only dislike are the pillows are uncomfortable for my preference. They're hard and all the same kind. I wish they had a few softer choices. I will definitely stay here again.

Checkin was a breeze and the room was well equipped. We had people running an ultra marathon all day / night, which is not the fault of the hotel- but we did not sleep. It was also disappointing the hot tub wasn’t working. We live close by and came to stay here to get away from our kids! We were looking forward to a good nights rest and the hot tub- neither of which we got!

We stayed here for 2 nights and we had a room on the third floor. The hallway is pretty long. If you don't, they'll have a room near the elevator. If you have someone with issues walking a lot, make sure you request a room near the elevator we're on the first floor close to the lobby. The pool was nice, and so was the hot tub. The rooms were nice. The bathrooms were huge, with a separate tub and shower. I wish the bedroom refrigerators had a small freezer. Like some, do they sell ice cream in the little shop by the front desk. But there's no way to keep it frozen.You know in the bedroom refrigerator. The beds were a hard as a rock. It's an easy walk to bridgeport village, shopping area and dining options.

This was a perfect hotel for a quick getaway to Portland. We will definitely come back each year! Awesome breakfast buffet. Great location. Happy staff with great customer service. Decor with a European style was slightly dated but very pleasant and super clean. Felt relaxed and safe. Even had complimentary sleep kits. Family run hotel that clearly cares about it's customers.

This was a surprise gift to discover this hotel in Bridgeport area. There is a "Grand Hotel" in Salem Oregon where we live, and we were familiar with it, but never stayed. What a treat to finally stay at the The Grand. This hotel takes care of there guests, provides good breakfast, the rooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. We got the King Deluxe and used the tub which as also a treat. If you want a weekend to shop, visit Portland, and be treated well, this is the best option for you.
