Hotel Savoy Palace - Tonelli Hotels

My husband and I stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. We got married in Malcesine just down the lake from Riva. While the hotel is in a great location, is clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. This is where the good review ends for me. The breakfast was quite poor as there wasn’t a great amount to choose from. The dinners weren’t great at all. You are given a list at breakfast and you have to choose what you want for dinner that night. It reminded me of a nursing home. The dinner choices weren’t good at all. Four of the nights we went out to eat as there wasn’t anything on the menu we liked for dinner. I think this hotel is aimed at older people and we’re are in our mid forties and we’re the youngest staying here. Hence the reason we thought it was like a nursing home. The evening entertainment was awful as well.

The breakfast was amazing. the variety of choices, the quality of their food, and the services that came with all that is exceptional. The location is amazing, a few hundred meters from the lake and from major services.

The only thing is the gym. the machines need attention, and the few machines that are there are in a crowded area.

We stayed here for over 2 weeks whilst exploring Lake Garda & the surrounding area. Location is ideal 5 minutes down to the lakeside & 15 -20 min walk into Riva Town & the ferry terminal. Our room had an amazing view of the mountains, the balcony had room for table, chairs & 2 sun loungers & caught the sun for most of the day. Hotel Savoy had great facilities- an indoor & heated outdoor pool, with spa, jacuzzi etc. Breakfast & evening meals were excellent. ALL the staff were outstanding but we would just like to mention the people we had the most interaction with; Our waiter - Reddi Sommelier - Adel Omelette chef- Name In the cocktail bar- Alessandro & Renato Everyone on reception was so helpful & informative. It was also refeshing to see Signor Tonelli, the owner, every night greeting the guests. Fantastic stay & we would certainly return.

Sehr freundliches aufmerksames Personal im Restaurant und an den Hotel Bars. Sehr gute Küche mit grossem Salat-Buffet. Kurzer Weg zum See.

Zimmer und Bad waren etwas zu klein. Wir hatten nach einem größerem Zimmer gefragt, ein Wechsel war wegen der Hotelauslastung nicht möglich.

Essen war hervorragend. Pool war super.
