La Quinta by Wyndham Abilene Mall

This was my worst La Quinta stay ever!! My stay started off with management telling me a different pet fee once I checked in, even though I just called and confirmed the day before. Mostly, we were checked in not even an hour yet and I noticed BLACK MOLD in our hotel bathroom. I asked to change rooms and I was told they would not change our room and we were "only there one night" so basically I had to just suck it up. Do NOT stay here!!

I was traveling cross-country with two cats, relocating from Georgia to Arizona, and chose this hotel because it was pet-friendly. It was conveniently located along my route and easy to find. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were polite. My room was clean and more than adequate for my needs. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and I appreciated the overall convenience. However, the elevator and hallways could have been cleaner, and I felt the price was a bit high for the location. Additionally, during checkout, the front desk staff member seemed more focused on their phone than assisting guests. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay for travelers with pets, but there’s room for improvement in cleanliness and customer service.

Parking is TERRIBLE, there was a massive amount of birds in the trees and my car was a disaster! Most of the staff was nice, some of the front desk staff was grumpy. The room was not that clean, the carpets are dirty and they were wet.

Room was dirty. Floor was sticky, night stand oily. Yoghurt at breakfast was expired. Would not recommend. Location is good though, walking distance to shopping plaza and restaurants.
