Deerwood Inn and Madison Campground

Horrible place to stay. Didn't like anything about the stay from the unclean rooms to the paper thin walls. There were so many things unacceptable about the room, it take forever to name them.

Room smelled like smoke and people were up slamming doors at all time of the night- not sure what was going on. Place is old with no interest in even replacing peeling wallpaper.

Very pretty area. Staff was nice and friendly. Wifi could have been better.

It was very clean and comfy. The location was perfect.

Same as most. Almost accessable. Wheelchair fits into the bathroom, but nothing more.

It was comfortable and quiet.

I come to Madison several times a year and unfortunately the hotel choices are all pretty low level. I have stayed at this facility a few times (desiring to support independent business) and therefore know what it looks like and do not have high expectations at all. However, on this visit the maid clearly re-set the bed without changing out the sheets. There were food crumbs and a large amount of hairs in the bed clearly indicating someone had spent time there. When I informed the front desk person, he was apologetic and changed my room out immediately so all was fine at that stage.

Like that it was inexpensive. Didn’t like having to schedule getting towels. WiFi is horrible. Wasn’t clean in the room. Chest of drawers had other people’s stuff and hair in them.
