Deerwood Inn and Madison Campground

Took a weekend getaway to the campground down the road with kids and grandkids. The room suited us perfectly for what we needed, just shower and sleep. Room temp was good without a noisy AC and the bed was comfortable. Shower curtain had some mildew on the bottom but could have been stained that way. Will stay here again during the next family gathering.

We needed rooms for after graduation, although the other hotels closer to Tallahassee were well into the 200's a night, Deerwood had rooms for a total of 80 per night. The room was clean, sheets were clean and so was the bathroom and sink. There is a fridge, microwave and tv. Its not fancy but a reasonable rate and friendly service. There is a good mexican restaurant within 5 miles. Bring your shampoo because they only supply soap. There is a pool, and its really quiet.

Very friendly front desk staff. Room was very nicely decorated, not a normal hotel room. I think I was the only one staying there (until real late someone else came) so quiet and nice. Was out in the country so no service on my cell phone Had WiFi though. Just a peaceful, quiet nice get a way. Even cleaning man in the morning was very nice.

I don't understand how you can charge $80 a night. My room had cockroaches and ticks. I couldn't get WiFi to work most of the few hours I was there also.

It was a bit out of the way, but the staff was very nice and the room was clean. I would stay there again.

The young man in officer was so very nice. He made our stay better then it would have been. Thank you Josh

Everything was adequate until the owner chased us down the driveway saying there was a towel missing. Really, a towel? It was in the bedding 🙄

Conveniently located right next to i10. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Sparse amenities (bring your own shampoo, blow dryer and instant coffee)

No wifi service and don't bother asking for anything.

I was aware that this was an older facility which is not a problem. We just needed a place to stay for the night. So the hotel itself for the price was acceptable. My issue is with the cleanliness of the room. I had to spray the tub, toilet and sink area with bleach cleaner in order to use it. There were hairs of all varieties everywhere. Had to make sure we had shoes on at all times yuck..Thank goodness we had our own pillows. The sheets appeared to be clean but I still felt the urge to take another shower the next morning.
