Deerwood Inn and Madison Campground

The staff is wonderful . About a week and a half prior to this return visit, we were originally booked at the Yogi Bear Jellystone park that is next to Deerwood Inn. At first Jellystone staff tried to put 4 adults and a child in a cabin that was meant for 2 adults. Then they gave us an "apartment" that turned out to be half of a doublewide trailer that had no utensils, was filthy, and should have been condemned. At 11:00 pm, we called over to the Deerwood Inn and the Mrs. opened her doors to us. Very nice and caring and we decided on the return trip to Texas, we decided to stay there again.

good place for only one night

I was disappointed. This is an older hotel/RV park. I don't have anything against older as long as it is clean and comfortable. This was neither. I got a king room and barely got any sleep as the bed was horribly uncomfortable. Only 2 of the 4 lamps inside worked. Also, the main room appeared as clean as it could be but the wash/sink and bath area were not. There were hairs from other people in both places, the tub was not clean and there was toilet paper stuck into holes in the walls & ceiling. If this doesn't bother you the only positive thing I can say about the whole experience is that it was quiet, but then again there were only about 10 rooms occupied at the time.

Have stayed here a few times and it seems like they regularly have trouble with water pressure and not having hot water. Its a cheap place to sleep for a night .

Very clean room & bed was so comfortable; quiet atmosphere; friendly staff

We stayed a few days due to visiting family. The room was clean but the blankets on the bed were thin and falling apart. The refrigerator did not work. The hot water for the shower was intermittent. I would not stay there again.

The room was not clean. There was hair in the tub, on the bed and pillows. The A/C would not work. The refrigerator in the room did not work. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Great value

The staff doesn't tell you about anything about the motel room at the vending machines laundry nothing no Wi-Fi password is provided and I tried to call the customer service iPhone and they never picked up

Great stat for a reasonable price .
