Bawelsberger Hof

I stayed here with Leger Holidays and found the rooms adequate, the staff friendly and helpful, and the food very good. The hotel is quaintly old-fashioned. My only criticism is that the hotel was very chilly, with tiled floors everywhere and a bit gloomy. In warmer weather it would probably be fine.

I brought a group here for an overnight stay for Glentons Holidays. Due to unforseen circumstances we arrived over 1 hour late. This was not a problem for the staff and we were given a very warm welcome. The check-in was very efficient and friendly. The hotel still provided a 3 course meal for the group, (even at the late hour) and the food was more than excellent. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable and not 1 single complaint from the group. Breakfast was excellent also with plenty of choice and served with polite, friendly and professional staff. All in all a very pleasant time was had by myself and all passengers in the group and we cannot thank all the staff for their understanding of our hold up, their friendliness and professionalism and for making us feel very welcome. I certainly hope to be back to this hotel again in the future. Well done one and all 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Thus hotel is just awful. When I arrived after travelling for 17 hours there was no heating on in the room. There was only 1 small towel, no toilet roll, 1 single duvet on a massive double bed and a blocked sink. The seal on the wall in shower didn’t fit so when I had a shower the room was flooded. The tv didn’t work either. The breakfast was ok but the evening meal was disgusting, I was on a solo trip with Leger holidays.. Never again !!! It was a horrible experience. Leger should be ashamed of themselves for putting guests into this hotel.

The food was terrible, room was not cleaned daily, fridge broken and poor quality bedding. Requests were acknowledged then ignored. Under staffed. I definitely would not recommend. Location poor too. Nothing nearby. I stayed here with the Leger holiday company.

We have stopped twice - the service consistently good, the food quite good on one occasion but poorer the 2nd, rooms OK - but do take care if you have one with metal shutters rather than curtains.......there was no counterweight or "brake" on the one we had and it nearly caused an injury since it dropped so rapidly

Bright and spacious room with balcony in quiet surroundings, good breakfast and helpful, obliging staff and management. Well located for anyone working with Ford or Dillinger Hütte. Would definitely recommend

I have stayed here on 3 separate occasions and have always enjoyed it. It is a Nice hotel with friendly staff,who all speak English. The owner,Ramon,is always willing to help out with anything extra you might need.

The hotel is ideally placed should you wish to visit the surrounding area's either on business or pleasure. The reception area and restaurant are all maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and décor. The staff are very friendly and speak good English. While I did not stay in the Hotel, (I dined in the Casa Pepe,) but should the rooms be of a similar standard, then I would have no hesitation recommending. The restaurant has a Spanish theme running throughout, which is also reflected in the menu.

I stay in the Bawelsberger frequently and usually 3 to 4 weeks at a time. It is in a beautiful area and to be honest I don't need to look any further. The hotel is clean and always has a fresh smell to it. The staff are always friendly and eager to try out their English on me. The restaurant has a Spanish theme to it serving excellent Tapas and international meals. Rooms are quite big and airy with a nice shower, large screen television and mine has two double beds and like the rest of the hotel is always clean and fresh smelling. I have stayed in other hotels in the area but since I found the Bawelsberger I have not felt the need to look elsewhere.
