Hideaways Exuma

If you are looking for a laid back island holiday than this is the place. The beaches were amazing and the people wonderful. Felt safe on the whole island! Staying at the Hideaways was perfect (we are done with large all inclusive resorts) and the Hideaways had an onsite restaurant/bar where the food and drinks were great. This has a beautiful beach area and a nice small pool. One of the nicest beaches on the island is Jolly Harbour and you can walk to it in less than 10 minutes along the beach from Hideaways. The resort is very laid back and a little rustic in a great way. (it is not a 5 star luxury resort but it is perfect as far as we are concerned) Staff was excellent - thanks to Reta, Cindy, Marvin and Patrick! - sorry of I forgot anyone. There are a couple of restaurants and fish fry in walking distance PLUS the resort offers a shuttle to Georgetown - so you can go to other shopping & restaurants if you wish. This is not an all inclusive so we picked up a few groceries and mix in town and our room had a fridge and kitchenette for snacks etc. We did go ATVing to see more of the island - great fun, took a water taxi to sip & chill and did a boat tour with Roberts where we swam into the grotto (from James Bond Thunderball), swam with sharks, pigs (not together!) and a number of other spots. We will return. Hideaways was a great resort and location and we would most likely choose to go back to the same place.

We enjoyed our stay at cottage number 47 for 7 days and an extra night ( due to a cancelled flight ) in cottage number 5. The accommodations are clean, updated , and decorated in a pleasant coastal style. Staff members are friendly, helpful, and polite.

Clean Environment Location is not far from the Airport AC was nice and cold Sleep Quality is Awesome No Loud Noise or Disturbances Great Resturant on Property Service was very Responsive

The service, the staff, the pool, the beach, the kayaks, the food.... everything was exceptional... the staff is so friendly and always greet you with a smile.. I loved the time I stayed there, thanks again to the wonderful staff.

Everything was wonderful for our trip. We had the best stay in Unit 28 right on the bay. The cottage was clean and comfy. Beautiful views of the bay and the sunrise and sunset believe it or not. The sunset reflects back onto the east and the views are just incredible all day. Ms Arnett was so helpful and felt like family. Marvin was so awesome. He helped us with all our questions and drove us through the offered shuttle. He is the best!!!!

Hideaways and the Exumas were 5 star all the way through! Marvin is one of a kind and made us feel so comfortable and at home for our stay here.. I had a minor air conditioning leak (out of anyones control) and they swapped all of my bedding/mattress that got wet in a blink of an eye… I have never experienced a better stay and more hospitable hosts/friends before.. Thank you Hideaways, Marvin, Meh, Arrentt and everyone else we were so damn lucky to meet!! 🩵 We will 100% be back and will stay at Hideaways.

HI MARVIN! We had such a wonderful time at Hideaways and will 1000% be back. Everyone was courteous, friendly, and fun! Having access to the Georgetown shuttle was extremely handy, and they even gave us a lift to the ATM one day. We enjoyed two meals at Splash and are looking forward to future Donkey Kong and swing bar-sitting. We greatly enjoyed the pool at the end of every day and enjoyed fantastic snorkeling right off of the beach at the hotel. Our favorite part of Hideaways was Marvin! He and his boss went as far as to set up an anniversary surprise for us to find after a day at the beach. Fantastic service, beach, food, cleanliness. No complaints at all, only rave reviews! - Savannah and Andrew

It was a beautiful view and staff was very kind and helpful. But we had several cockoroaches. They did respray and said it was unusual but there were too many even coming out when we cooked breakfast. The villa 28 oceanfront was nicely decorated. But the bug situation is not good. They offered to more us back but no refund and we would pay more for no view.
