Sawrey House Country Hotel

Excellent value and outstanding service. Wonderful breakfast room for food and views. Good restaurant and the pup around the corner is one of the best in the Lake District so options. Well placed for hiking and sightseeing

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Beautiful location, lovely building, really great breakfast. Some of the communal hallways / landing looked as if they were approaching the time to redecorate, but overall hotel clean and tidy and we had a great stay. Well located for visiting the Southern Lakes and some nice walks from the door so could abandon the car for a couple of days and explore on foot if you wanted to

I had a wonderful holiday at the Sawery House Hotel, Near Sawery. The hotel had a traditional feel, although with update furnishings. The views were spectacular. My holiday was a Bed & Breakfast package, the breakfast were sumptuous, with true variety (Cumbrian breakfast, Kippers with parsley butter and Oak Haddock). The staff were extremely friendly and informed, they will do all they can to help.

Good hotel with outstanding food and excellent service. Room 2 was a bit noisy very early in the morning, being right by the dining room, which leads to some staff moving things around, but earplugs almost dealt with that. Nice location with a pleasant garden. Walkable to the village for other food and drink options.

Greatly enjoyed our stay, staff very welcoming,friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and overall excellent except for one thing. We had dinner at hotel on the day we arrived. I had the Sea Bass with Risotto - the meal was excellent but my serving of fish was so small (about half the size of a five pound note) that for the price at $16.95 it was definitely not value-for-money. Rather than make a fuss, we decided after that to simply eat out where meals were more substantial.

Great time staff friendly good breakfast rooms spotless stayed for meal two nights wish had booked every. Night fabulous food had starter and main meal couldn't move after good portions will definitely stay again only negative had to ask for more tea bags in room few times
