Hotel Ruinas

Love the location yet in a very busy area of the historical area. Lots of shopping, dining and transportation options. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. I would give the staff a 10/10. I loved they did same day laundry services. Breakfast was great and had options for my dietary restrictions.

Breakfast was great, so many options. the Staff was very friendly and helpful. They stored our luggage while we hiked the Inca trail. It was easy to find and very close to everything without being on a busy street with noise.

Hotel is nice, breakfast is good. There are glasses in the bathroom, and we called the front desk to ask if the water was safe to drink from the tap - some hotels in Peru have filtration systems - the guy at the front desk said emphatically that it was safe. We asked in both English and Spanish. My husband drank a little of the water and got quite ill. The next morning we advised the front desk and the woman working said under no circumstances is it safe to drink. It is our fault - we should not have taken the chance, because it’s rule of thumb in Peru to only drink bottled. However we were misinformed, which was probably a miscommunication of some sort… anyway, the hotel was apologetic but did not try to help

Beautiful hotel, friendly and attentive staff, very clean, hot water in showers available, exceptional location.

Loud room due to thin walls, check-out super early with very little flexibility.

Sadly we arrived very late and left early in the morning so saw little of the hotel. The breakfast was great but the check out time of 9.00am seemed a little draconian. We negotiated a stay until 9.30 which suited us but would have been unhappy if we had not been leaving. No lift and originally our room was on the third floor but the porter could see how exhausted we were and moved us to the second floor.

It's a very nice, central hotel. Th breakfast is very good. They stored our luggages during our Machu Picchu hike.

On booking it's stated as "high speed internet" but it barely worked in our room at the first floor.

The rooms can be a bit quirky in their setup. But they are comfortable and clean. The staff there are wonderful and will work with you on anything you need. Morning breakfast is great. Location is really good - easy walking distance to just about everything.
