This is an excellent resort, wonderful beach and nice room. Najelly and Damaris were excellent waitresses in the Haitieses restaurant, they know about customer service

Staff was more than helpful and kind. Conditions in room had bed bugs. Thought it was just sand in the bed, but blood marks all over and blisters from bites all over us.

We loved the suites and the infrastructure of the hotel which is really beatifull. The restaurants are good, but the reservation wasnt working on the app, so we needed to go to an office to make the reservations. We had a room near to the main pool that was a little noisy for us (it doesnt go late into the night which is good), but lowering the volume a little would make the whole experience better. Overall, a very good experience, the birds are beautifull, the beach is amazing. On the other hand, the staff is not always polite or helpful (they almost look annoyed). When we had an issue with our room door not opening, the golf cart driver left us without waiting as requested, leaving us stuck with our 1 year old baby far from the lobby. At some bars, staff hide to avoid taking orders, and you have to insist to be served.

Dirty pools/ Poor maintenance/ No A/C or clean water/ No bottled water for kids/ Rude service/ Stolen items/ Unsafe for children// I want to share my experience so others don’t make the same mistake. If you're traveling with kids or simply want a worry-free stay, do NOT book this hotel. At first, everything looked nice—great lobby, food seemed fine. But by 7 PM on the day we arrived, problems began. We paid extra for a beachside suite. The beach wasn't usable due to sargassum, but we were okay with the location. However, the A/C wasn’t cooling. We called maintenance twice that night, and finally at 11 PM, they admitted it was a cold water pressure issue. Instead of moving us, they let us use a different room just for the night. After a full day of complaints, they moved us to another room—only to find the water pressure and shower weren’t working properly either. We stayed anyway because we were tired of moving. Water stations only had hot water for two days, and we had to walk all the way to the lobby to get it. No bottled water for kids was available—only warm or tap water. The main pool and kids' pool were filthy. The water level was too low for circulation to work. There were many people, including children, swimming in non-recirculated dirty water. My child got a rash all over his body , a really bad rash that it has to be from the pool because it happened during our stay We asked about it to an employee at towels station and were told the main pool was under mainte

Probably this is was my worst stay. We checked in at 4pm. When we came to our room - it wasn't ready and we had to wait for 30 minutes. We ordered a room with two beds (for me and my son) but instead we got a room with only one bed. The next day power on our room totally went out. Repair men were spent a whole day trying to fix this major problem. When they finally fixed a power we found out that Air Conditioner is NOT working. So. Half of the NEXT day repair men were trying to fix an air conditioner without any success, so we called to desk and requested a room change. They agreed to our request and asked us to be ready for pick up and transfer to a new room. We waited for 4!!! hours in a room, waiting for a transfer... Finally we got transferred to a new room, which had no problem, except one - staff mostly "forgot" to clean our room on a daily basis. How could all this happened? Iberostar Bavaro is a premium hotel. I was expecting at least a normal service, which we didn't receive at all. Very sad. Also. Please add more chairs near a pool. They were all occupied before 9:am. Our family was a loyal to your hotels in Dominican and Mexico (at least 15 stays in the last 15 years), but now we will think twice before we decided to go into any of your hotels again.
