Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus - All Inclusive

Cons: Rooms (old and not very clean), Lunch buffet at the beach (had limited seating and we were turned away), beach facilities (could be cleaned more often), guest (this is a strange one, but we did not feel as welcome- like we didn’t belong there, and they fought us for a beach lounge even though there was no one sitting on it or near it, and no personal items suggesting it was taken- never experienced this anywhere else). Pros: Staff ( incredibly friendly!), beach (beautiful, clean, and calm), the common spaces (beautiful and spacious), the resort at night (romantic), the staff and kid’s entertainment was nice and the staff were wonderful with kids. Tips: eat at the restaurants (better food than buffet), drinks are the reception bar were great, to secure a beach lounger, get there early, the rooms near the main buffet area seems to have a nicer and quieter atmosphere/ view than rooms near the beach/pool.

Excellent experience

The beach

This is a beautiful hotel that lacks customer service skills and more. The check in and check out is horrible. The check in process is slow and they allowed people to skip the line,. Even though there were only a few vacationers in front of us, we waited it 30 minutes to checked in. The lobby has about 20 ceiling fans that weren't working, so we were sweating the entire time. The food isnt great, and it takes forever to get service. The shows are terrible. Finally, I won't stay in this hotel or any Iberostar.

Staff is incredible and the entertainment team was a blast! Tons of activities to do during the day and shows at night. Did water aerobics in ocean, dance lessons by pool too. The beautiful grounds were so nice to walk around and fun to see the peacock, ducks, and fish too. Would definitely return!

The property was beautiful. The people were very nice, but the air conditioning didn’t work very well and we were damp the entire week. There was nowhere we could go where it wasn’t damp clothes and towels never dried.

Hotel is very nice, beautiful grounds, birds and ponds. Buildings are old, but well maintained. Beach is very nice.

Great place food beech

We loved our stay at the Iberostar Hacienda Selection Dominicus! The hotel is beautiful and walkable, the staff is amazing, the food is delicious and the beach is a paradise. My husband and I did a couple’s massage with Elisa and Rossy and it was great! We want to give a special shoutout to the Star Camp staff. For those with kids, they have activities that are super fun and educational, the staff is very well trained and caring. Thank you so much to the entire hotel for making our vacation unforgetabble! We can’t wait to go back again next year!
