My stay at the Wilmington Inn was a happy accident. I was en route to Bennington without any plans to stay but bad weather and the closure of route 9 changed that. I returned to Wilmington, grabbed dinner at north star pizza (yum) and used what power was left on my phone to find lodging for the night. I was super lucky to find a room at the Wilmington Inn, which was also nearby (I desperately wanted to get out of the vehicle I had been driving in for several hours and get off the treacherous roads). Charlie and Megan texted me shortly after my online booking to welcome me and see what time I planned to arrive. Once there, I was relieved to step inside from the blizzard still underway outside. Charlie invited me to enjoy a seat by the crackling fire while he finished helping another guest. I was happy to oblige. The lobby was charming and quintessentially Vermont and even made me think of the old sitcom Newhart, which takes place in a country inn. That said, once checked in, I enjoyed the homemade cookies baked specifically for guests to enjoy, and enjoyed regressing with fresh cold water available in the lobby, to recover from hours confined to a car seat. The room was cozy and the mattress was super comfortable and just what I needed to get a truly good night's sleep. The following morning I had a delicious breakfast prepared to order consisting of apple cinnamon pancakes, bacon cooked to crisp perfection, and healthy servings of coffee, as well as some orange juice. Every aspect of my accidental stay played a part in recovering from a fraught day. And beyond that, the wonderful vibe of the helpful, friendly and capable hosts was really instrumental in confirming that this wasn't just a place for a night, but something special. At some point I'll return, but this time by choice and not by happenstance.

Charlie and Megan run a great Inn. Charlie is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advice. Megan cooked up delicious breakfast in the morning! The frittata is a must try!

We had a very enjoyable two-night stay at the Wilmington Inn in October. We were there for a wedding. It was the perfect accommodation for us-quaint, cozy and very welcoming. The inn keepers were very helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, places to visit, etc. We loved the breakfast-great choices, delicious food, very personable delivery. Overall, the sense of coziness, comfort, and home-like feeling is what created the unforgettable experience for us.

The Wilmington Inn is the best B&B that my wife and I have stayed. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The propeety has a bar and a very comfortable family room with a fireplace. The room was clean and very nice. Wilmington is a very friendly small town and the Wilmington Inn was a fantastic place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast! Unfortunately the weather was rainy so we couldn’t enjoy the outside amenities. The breakfast was delicious with a menu of great choices! The innkeepers were very nice !
