The Wilmington Inn

Without question our two days over Columbus Day weekend were among the best lodging and dining experiences we've had in our 32 years of marriage. We travel a lot, mostly staying in airbnbs, but the attentiveness, friendliness, and creature comforts Charlie and Megan provide---had us hungry to go back. The Inn is total New England charm, perfectly located just a short walk from the village center, and near multiple hiking trails, and Lake Whitingham. No detail has been overlooked. Our room was spacious and our king size bed was as comfy as home. The two breakfast's we had were more what you'd expect in an upscale Manhattan boutique hotel. Highly recommended!

Such a friendly welcome. Perfect room and hospitality with a fire and bar. We were made extremely welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble. It was great to have local knowledge about where to eat and the suggested road trip worked out perfectly.

Inn was very cozy and welcoming...owners were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were amazing! Excellent choices and presentation. Room was comfortable- could have used blackout curtains. Convenient location- steps away from quaint village. Pricing was more than reasonable- we paid less for this great spot than we would have for the weekend at Hampton Inn in Brattleboro! Recommend without hesitation- would definitely stay here again if opportunity arose.

Charlie & Megan were absolutely amazing. Super friendly, gave us fresh cookies when we arrived, made breakfast earlier than we had scheduled, shared a route for us to drive for the day, helped us with our bags and were very personable and nice. Lori was a wonderful server and we had a great time visiting with her. She shared stories, suggested places for us to see & brought honey water to my mom who had a sore throat. I would come back to this place in a heartbeat. Anyone traveling through Wilmington should stay here. Breakfast was delicious. I had the apple cinnamon pancake, egg, sausage & English muffin with homemade peach jam & my mom had French toast. The room was perfect & super cute. Extremely reasonable price.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Wilmington Inn. Charlie was there to greet us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The bed was comfortable and the area was lovely and quiet. We were able to access a few nice hiking trails just steps from the property. Breakfast was delicious and we left feeling well-rested and well-fed!

Everyone is friendly. Inn is charming and very comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. Very convenient location. Definitely would stay there again.

Very friendly and well looked after. Great breakfast and well stocked bar. A few restaurants within walking distance. Good walking trails close by including one going through the property.

This a great property with great owners who make you feel right at home. The bar and breakfast were great along with the hospitality. It should be listed as a destination or your trip to VT.
