Hotel Sunroute Aomori

Well located hotel, a few blocks from the station - a pleasant walk through the shopping street. Very helpful, accommodating staff. Rooms more than adequate. Hotel has all the facilities expected.

Aaprt from the plastic ball bearings, or whatever it is they put in Japanese pillows to make them hard, lumpy and ridgey, the room was comfortable. There was enough floor space for luggage.

Staff was freakinf awesome. They helped me so much. I loved the rooms and the view was great.

WE thought the room was excellent and in a great location. We had fun exploring the area and found a great Italian restaurant!! We told our son, who lives in Kyoto about the area, and encouraged him to visit!

This is definitely not the hotel to stay in if you're looking for new, shiny, or any other superlative adjective. This hotel is definitely dated. But what you will find here is great rates and great service. Short walk to JR Aomori Station, and Shinmachi shops, etc are real close. La-Rase Nebuta Hall is close by as well. Rooms are standard Japanese size and more than adequate.

Perhaps it was the room rate that they charged, I didn't have much expectation for it when I arrived, thinking just to get a shelter for 3 nights. But I was very pleased with all that the hotel has to offer: a). great location, close to the JR station, most tourist attractions are within short walking distance. So many dining choices to choose from, close to the city bus routes that take you to places quite conveniently and economically. The hotel itself really gives your buck a big bang. My room is a single room, and it is even larger than the room I stayed in the Sheraton Sapporo just the night before - at 3 times the price! It's clean everywhere - from the lobby throughout the room. Firm and comfortable bed. Good for anyone who travels solo. The front desk personnel speaks good English, which I consider a big bonus! Definitely worth every penny!!

Good hotel, great location, nice view of the water and surrounding city

Not the best looking business hotel nor the easiest one to find, but the prices are as good as you will find in Aomori and it gets the job done for a night.
