Central Plaza Apartments

Upon arriving we had to climb two flights of stairs with heavy cases Luckily the staff helped us with them otherwise we would not have been able to carry them ourselves. Not advertised as stairs involved. We struggled to carry them down early in the morning. The apartment itself had everything we needed but would not visit again due to lack of lifts.

Rod on reception was very friendly and helpful. The apartment had tea, coffee and milk provided to get us going. Pool was lovely, couldn’t seem to get the jacuzzi working but that would have been a bonus. A mile or so walk gets you into the middle of the city

Good location for waterfront walks and easy bus rides to centre

Stayed three nights ,very comfortable ,great bed and large lounge,gave us a full litre of milk which you don't get anywhere. all facilities were in the unit, great stay.

Centrally located within easy walking distance to Esplanade and cafes.

Lounge/sofa bed was dated and should be updated as well as dining room chairs which had some stains, generally property was clean and well looked after.

Close to city/esplanade. Directly across from Cairns hospital so very convenient for people needing to visit hospital.

Older building. Plumbing poor- hammers through the pipes disturbing Maintenance not dealt with quickly- drain cover on bathroom floor fell into drain leaving open drain close in front of the vanity which could be a hazard for older people. Reception advised but still not fixed 4 days later when we left. Other smaller maintenance issues need to be addressed.
